It was dark when Yang Yun opened his eyes . He had not known when she had fallen asleep . Just then, Mingyue's black cat, Xiao Mi was beside him, rubbing his head against his and allowing him to pet his fur for the first time . But once he woke up and looked around, the black cat was no longer beside him . Yang Yun could only lay down on the bed and stared at the ceiling for a while .

The night was silent . Yang Yun was in a daze . His heart and thought were empty . He missed his wife, Mingyue so much . Staying in this room will only remind him of Mingyue . He can no longer see his wife's warm and cheerful smile .

However, Yang Yun knew that he could not go on like this . Mingyue will not like it if she saw his condition right now . With that thought in mind, Yang Yun tidied up himself and decided to walk out of his quarters .

"Big brother," Yang An called when she saw his brother . "Where are you going?"

Yang Yun paused and turned around to find his sister behind him . "I'm going out . "

"It's late," Yang An pointed out .

"I know . "

"You haven't had anything to eat for a day . Have something to eat before you head out," Yang An said .

"I'm just not hungry right now . I'll be heading to Mingyue's grandfather's place and grab something to eat there . "

"Big brother, you cannot be like this . If sister-in-law sees you right now, she will be sad . "

Yang Yun forced a smile . He took a step forward and patted his sister's head . "I promise that I will grab something to eat later . Yang An, you have to look after our mother for me . Go and rest early . Don't wait for me . "

Yang An could only grip her fist in frustration as she watched her brother walked away . She was saddened to see her brother lifeless condition . However, there was nothing she could do but to allow him to grieve over her sister-in-law's disappearance .

When Yang Yun arrived at Han Zhenting's place, a few of the old physician's apprentices were still awake as they have to look over some boiled medicines . They were all surprised to see Yang Yun at the infirmary .

"Brother Yang Yun," one of Han Zhenting's apprentices greeted . "It's late . What are you doing here?"

"Has Grandfather went to bed?" Yang Yun asked .

The apprentice shook his head . "Physician Han should be in the herbs storage room . "

Yang Yun nodded and went towards the storage room to look for Grandfather .

"Help me to fetch that basket of herbs by the door," Han Zhenting spoke without looking up . Soon, a small basket of herbs was placed on the table beside him . The old physician looked up and was surprised upon seeing Yang Yun before him .

Yang Yun ignored the old physician's inquiring gaze and turned to look at the dried herbs grandfather was tending after . "Is that the Shadow Grass?"

It took a few seconds before Han Zhenting replied . "Yes . It should have dried nicely . Soon, I will be able to start to prepare the prescription for Lingchen . " he gave a bitter smile .

Han Zhenting was happy that they would finally be able to cure his granddaughter . The Princess has been suffering from the cold poison for years . One small mistake, the Princess might die . That was why they were looking for Shadow Grass . But to harvest the essential herbs needed to prepare this prescription, he had lost another granddaughter .

"That's good . Mingyue will be happy to hear that the Princess will finally be free of the poison," Yang Yun said .

The old physician lowered his gaze . His granddaughter would love to stay by his side as he prepared the concoction . After all, Mingyue has been by Princess Lingchen for years to treat her . Shadow Grass was a rare herb . The chance to learn how to prepare the herbs and concoction was small . Mingyue would love to learn to prepare everything from the initial process .

Han Zhenting walked to the door and spoke with one of his assistants . Then, he looked at Yang Yun with a faint smile . "I've asked my assistant to prepare for supper . Have you had eaten yet? Accompany me to eat for a while . I haven't eaten anything all day . You know how it is when I was preparing the herbs . "

"Alright," Yang Yun could only agree to accompany Grandfather to eat . He knew that Grandfather was saying those to trick him into eating something .
