"Xue Yi Ming, you… this is not what you told me. You said we were going to tell my parents that we're dating. Why did you suddenly bring out that ring?"

His grip on the velvet box tightened. "You don't want to marry me?"

"That's not the point," Lin Tian Yu said. "This is too sudden. You didn't tell me about this, and I'm not ready."

"I wanted to give you a surprise," Xue Yi Ming said.

"I was surprised! Xue Yi Ming, were you trying to kill me with a heart attack?" Lin Tian Yu took a deep breath. "Xue Yi Ming, we have never talked about marriage."
