Across Time and Space 245 Return? Or Stay?

Yang Yun paused when he heard the question, while Xue Yi Ming immediately stood up and rolled up the maps.

Initially, when Yang Yun came to this world, he was prepared to take Mingyue and bring her home. However, once he met his wife again, Yang Yun could see that Mingyue had a new life and a family in this world. Although he was prepared to go back, he did not know whether Mingyue wanted to go back or stay.

"Do you want to return? Or stay in this world?" Yang Yun spoke in a low voice so that the others cannot hear them. His gaze locked with Mingyue as he waited for her answer. "Whatever your decision is, I will follow you."

"I have remembered everything," Mingyue said calmly. "Although I have my life, and a family that loves me in this place, I still want to go back if I can. After all, I belong there."

"Are you sure?" Yang Yun asked. "Mingyue, if you choose to stay, then, I will stay with you as well. As long as I have you beside me, then, it doesn't matter where we stay."

"I know. And I have thought about it since the day I left the hospital. Yang Yun, I missed my family," Jiang Mingyue said. "Back then, when I did not remember anything, I always had this dream about my parents. I missed them. If I chose not to return even if I had the chance to, I know that I will later regret the decision."

Yang Yun continued to study her expression. He let out a long sigh and smiled at her. "I understand." he reached his hand to pat on her hair. "We might have a way to go back, but first, we have to find a place that can connect this world to our world."

"Right, you told me that Second Brother found the Nanlin Tribe, and they helped you to get here," Mingyue said. "But you didn't explain clearly how."

A waiter came to their table to deliver their food and drinks before he went back inside.

Yang Yun turned around to look at the others around the table. Mingyue was not the only person who was curious regarding the matter about building the portal. Although Xue Yi Ming had seen how he formed the entrance, he had never asked Yang Yun how it was created. And Li Ran was always interested in the matter of building a portal to another side of the dimension.

"The tribe taught me how to build an array that will create a door for us to enter," Yang Yun said as he looked at everyone. "Creating this portal is not hard. However, I don't have enough power to build a portal big enough for a person to go in. Back then, when I came here, we have to rely on power from a tree that has a dense spiritual power."

Mingyue glanced at Li Ran as the man leaned forward to listen to Yang Yun. She tilted her head sideways as she continued to watch him. Mingyue thought that there was something strange about him.

"Like magic?" Lin Tian Yu interjected.

Yang Yun thought about it for a while and nodded. "Like magic. What we are searching for now is the spot with this power. And to look for this place, we have to count on Xiao Mi."

Xiao Mi meowed when he heard someone said his name.

"But that was not all. According to the Chief of that tribe, there are infinite numbers of other times of space. If we're not careful, we might not get to the place we're heading to," Yang Yun said. Then, he turned to Mingyue. "When we were trying to find the world you're in, we have to depend on your thumb ring to show me the way here. If I entered the portal without any preparation, I might be stuck in another dimension."

Mingyue's grip on Yang Yun's hand tightened. She could not imagine what will happen if her husband arrived in another world instead. Then, will he spend his life going back and forth, trying to find her?

Yang Yun patted Mingyue's hand to calm her down. Slowly, her grip loosened.

Across them, Li Ran frowned at the thought of the numbers of another dimension different than the world they live in.

"This time, we will have to rely on Xiao Mi to act as our guide," Yang Yun said.

Xiao Mi meowed again. When Yang Yun looked at his way, Xiao Mi rolled his eyes and closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep.

"There are a few things we have to look at before we can open a safe portal that leads to our destination," Yang Yun continued. "Besides the spot with dense energy, we will need an auspicious time. The tribe gave me a specific time for me to open the portal. If I missed this chance, then we will have to wait for another ten years."

"Ten years… that is a long time. I have been in this world for six years," Mingyue said. She tilted her head down as she thought of their family members. She did not think that she can wait for another ten years to see her family. Life is short. And her parents and grandfather are getting older. What if she never goes back in time to see them? Mingyue felt as if something heavy was pressing her heart at these thoughts.

"Then, when is this auspicious date?" Lin Tian Yu asked. "How much longer are you staying?"

"In four months."

Lin Tian Yu bit her lips as she heard Yang Yun's answer. Her heart ached at the thought that she will not have much time with her sister.

The four of them listened to Yang Yun talking about creating the portal for a while longer.

Mingyue and her sister stood up as they look at the time. They will need to return before their parents realized that they sneaked out instead of resting at home.

"What's wrong?" Yang Yun pulled his wife aside and asked. "Don't think that I didn't notice how you been staring at Li Ran today."

Mingyue stared at Yang Yun with wide eyes. A laugh escaped her as she sensed that Yang Yun might eat something sour earlier. "It's nothing," she stared into his eyes and smiled. "Just that, I feel like he looks familiar."
