he would read through the files and then discuss them with the old man once he gets home. the pair had changed their dinner time in to work time. the two would discuss work related issues till late in the night but An kai had a dull look on him.
people in the house started to notice the change in his behavior but no one had the guts to ask him anything. time passed on slowly until a week dropped without Roline calling An kai or vise versa.
it was a Sunday night when An kai decided to ask for Roline's new phone number from his father-in-law, Han Rein.
"uncle I would like to know if you have Roline's number at the moment. I have something to tell her before I start work tomorrow. An kai said to Han Rein who had his eyes fixed on the documents in his hands.
"I do, I will give it to you once we're done here so that you can call her later on. Han Rein said without moving his eyes away but An kai knew that Roline's father just wanted to avoid the awkwardness of the situation. "how can a husband fail to have his wife's phone number for more than week ? the two parted without fights among them and the video from the airport proved that which was spread all over the internet.
An kai spent most of his free time in the past days calling Roline's number but it couldn't be reached since she had got herself a new sim card under country S' networks. but she never at once called An kai.
"she must be tired at the moment. her phone must be out of battery or, she might have had so many things at hand. those were the excuses that An kai gave to himself in the past few days. he didn't want to believe that Roline had no intention of calling him or giving her current phone number to him.
Han Rein did as he promised, he gave An kai Roline's number to him after closing the work chapter. An kai walked up the stairs and then to his room before calling Roline but the phone was not picked up. he wanted to believe that Roline was asleep at that moment so she didn't get to see his incoming call.
today wasn't special from all the other days, he still kept staring at his phone until late in the night, reading through all the messages the two sent each other when he was still in Tria but time still went on.
An kai woke up the next morning ready to go to work. he had trimmed his hair from the face backward so that it gives him a better look while in suites, since they were going to be part of his life as a business man. he tried to learn everything so that Han Rein's kindness doesn't go waste.
he wanted to pay this man back through working hard for the Han Corps.

An kaira was telling his father, An kenzi, how he was able to convince Xin Yi, An kai's assistant to make her move if she ever dreamed of power and a high status.
"are you sure that Xin of yours will seduce that dummy? An kenzi asked his son doubtingly. he didn't believe that Xin Yi would fall for An kai.
father, trust me this once. Xin has no love in her, she just needs money, status and looks.
since An kai is going to be the president of Han Corps, he will definitely be able to transfer money as he wishes, and for status, he is known to this whole country as Rostar city's prince. today will be his first day to appear as a business man on the face of Roriland so, he is bound to make mistakes since he can't write nor read. he will be depending on Xin for translations. An kai's role will be to sign documents after Xin Yi's approval! An kaira explained according to his understanding of things.
he had explained Xin Yi that An kai never attended school because he didn't want to!
that he was very stubborn when young. he also said that An kai owned the An businesses so if she was able to seduce him into her bed, she would end up as rich as she could ever imagine!
