A Warrior's Path 74 Chapter 74. Sand Attacks

Genma announced the start for next match but Sasuke was nowhere in sight so his match was pushed further down.

Next match was Kankuro Vs Shino.

Kankuro quit the match as he didn't want to reveal his techniques.

Third match was Temari Vs Shikamaru.

Shikamaru is the brightest Genin Ryu has seen so far. During his match he forced Temari onto a certain path. But still he lost because he was low on chakra and of course too lazy to give it his all.

The last match was Sasuke. Seeing him not here Genma was about to announce Gaara winner through default. But suddenly two figures flashed onto the field.

Sasuke and Kakashi stood back to back as Kakashi said " Sorry, if we are a bit late. A cat crossed our path so we had to come around. "

Sasuke almost fell down when he heard that, while Ryu's face twitched ' Couldn't he atleast find a better excuse.'

Genma didn't bother with Kakashi, he asked him to leave the field. Sasuke was serious as he looked towards Gaara.

Gaara had this crazy psychotic smile on his face. Genma asked the contestants to take position " Begin!! "

Gaara's sand poured out of the gourd, he was about to attack but instead he clutched his head in pain. Ryu was watching from the stands, he thought ' Which idiot used that kind of seal. It's way too crude. No wonder Shukaku was always crazy. I mean who would want to be in a space that's not stable. '

Gaara regained his composure as he attacked. Sasuke dodged the incoming sand and got close. Gaara used sand as shield but Sasuke smirked. His speed suddenly spiked, he got behind Gaara.

Ryu ' Hoh, he actually incorporated Lee's fighting style, seeing in the anime and in reality is different but still not bad. '

Sasuke punched Gaara, he continuously delivered a few attacks before Gaara retreated. He was panting a little, he looked hatefully at Sasuke.

Gaara made a hand sign, sand gathered around his body. It formed a ball shape with him inside. Temari and Kankuro shivered when they saw this. Some terrible memories surfaced.

Sasuke was still confident. He took out a kunai and focused. A white sphere of light formed at the tip of kunai. Any experienced ninja would be able to feel searing heat and terrifying sharpness from this sphere.

He looked towards Gaara as his lips formed a curve. Sasuke threw the kunai towards Gaara. Kankuro ' That won't work. Gaara's defence can't be broken head-on. '

He was expecting the attack to fail but instead the kunai sliced through the sand. No, where ever the sphere touched the sand was dispersed. A nerve wracking scream was heard within the sand defence.

Few moments after the kunai pierced the sand sphere, it collapsed revealing Gaara with his shoulder nearly cut off.

Gaara's expression was twisted as he growled " I AM GONNA KILL YOU!! "

Ryu was focusing on the match when he heard a loud bang towards the east ' it's starting. '

Sarutobi was about to inquire what was happening when Kazekage attacked his guard and placed a kunai towards his throat.

Sarutobi was calm, he asked coldly " Are you trying to start a war? "

Orochimaru taunted " Have you gone so senile to not even recognize me? "

Sarutobi's eyes shrunk " You are ..... Orochimaru!!. "

Hearing Sarutobi call his name Orochimaru didn't find any need to hide his face anymore. He tore off the human skin mask.

Orochimaru " How have you been, Sarutobi sensei? "

As Orochimaru spoke a barrier was formed where they stood by the sound four, separating them from outside.

While this scene unfolded, Sasuke confronted Baki, Jounin commander for the sand team. Genma asked Sasuke to chase Gaara and company while he fought Baki.

Ryu didn't make any move towards Orochimaru. He killed off all the sound and sand near civilians audience to keep them safe. Kakashi wanted to help Sarutobi but Ryu said

" Don't worry about the old man. He won't keel over that fast. You just go and take out rest of these pests. "

Kakashi was relieved hearing Ryu. He had absolute trust towards Ryu's strength.

Ryu looked towards Orochimaru and Sarutobi. There is a reason why Orochimaru still came here knowing Ryu's strength.

" Re-animation "

Ryu muttered. Orochimaru planned on reanimating first and second Hokage. He believed their strength to be enough to kill anyone from this village.

Back to the fight. Ryu was astonished as he saw Sarutobi fight Orochimaru. The man's ability to integrate different elements in different combinations was truly genius. ' No wonder people call him professor. '

Battle was intense. Orochimaru parried every attack thrown at him. Sarutobi easily dodged any advance made by Orochimaru.

All of a sudden Orochimaru retreated, he clasped his palms together " Reanimation. "

Sarutobi ' That Jutsu..... not good!! I need to stop it.'

Coffins emerged from the ground. The third coffin was about to full emerge but Sarutobi managed to stop it.

Sarutobi ' Of all people, he summoned those two. This is bad. '

Two people emerged from the coffins. Anbu surrounding the barrier outside was shocked seeing who came out of the coffin.

Sarutobi looked towards the civilian side and saw Ryu smiling at him. His heart calmed down, with Ryu here Orochimaru has no chance of winning. Even if he was to summon first and second Hokage.

Sarutobi focused. His opponents are the first and second Hokage, both shinobi were best among their generation.

Tobirama attacked head on with his water element style. Each attack distracted sarutobi while he tried to used high pressurised water bullet. Sarutobi was having a hard time fighting both at the same time.

While Tobirama used water style, Hashirama used body techniques to punch Sarutobi.

Sarutobi coughed " It really is hard fighting both of you at the same time."

Suddenly tree sprouts emerged from the ground ' Not good, this is lord Hashirama's secret technique.'

Huge trees emerged as they bound Sarutobi. Orochimaru was delighted but not for long as a monkey wearing leaf headband showed up.

Orochimaru frowned " A troublesome thing has appeared.

Enma, the elder monkey."

Enma looked at Orochimaru as spoke to Sarutobi " You should have killed him when you had the chance. "

Sarutobi " I am going to do it now. "

Enma smirked " Too late. "

Sarutobi " Enma, please transform."

Enma " Alright!!"

Orochimaru was startled " Not good. Kill them!!."

Hashirama and Tobirama moved towards Enma but as the monkey elder, Enma easily deflected them. He was covered in smoke as his body changed to a Cylindrical staff with golden edges.

The staff freed Sarutobi. He grabbed the adamantine staff, all of his movements became much more stronger with his weapon.

Sarutobi used his wisdom to create an opportunity to deal damage to the two Hokages.

Orochimaru " You have grown old sensei. Aging is not needed."

He peeled off his face skin revealing a younger face. Sarutobi was startled, then a scary thought emerged

" Don't tell me..... you perfected that forbidden Jutsu."

Hahahahahaha...

Orochimaru laughed like a mad man " It's been a bit more than ten years since I perfected this. "

Sarutobi was angered " How many bodies have you gone through!??"

Orochimaru " This is my second. After I kill you, I will obtain an even stronger body. "

Sarutobi was enlightened " So you are after Sasuke. "

Orochimaru didn't reply, Sarutobi was suddenly attacked by Hashirama. He was barely able to dodge it but it took out a lot of his stamina.

Sarutobi was prepared to do his duty when a figure flashed before him.

Orochimaru, Sound four were frightened when they saw Ryu appear inside the barrier. Especially for Orochimaru, he experienced Ryu's strength personally so he was scared seeing Ryu.

Ryu spoke " Old man, since you have had your fun.....

He looked at his three opponents and revealed a wide grin as he said " Now it's my turn. "
