A Warrior's Path 55 Chapter 55. Three Genius

The mood was pretty awkward. Neji stared furiously at Ryu, If looks could kill then Ryu would have died countless time over.

Lee stood between them " Ready...start! "

Ryu's figure vanished. Neji used his Byakugan to search for him but couldn't see anyone other than Lee and Tenten. Before he could react a figure appeared in front of him.

Ryu's attack was exactly like Neji's. His palm was covered in chakra as he used the same technique as Neji. Ryu smacked Neji's gut then he chopped the side of his neck and lastly he got behind Neji and palmed his spine.

Neji vomitted his gut out as Ryu's first attack made contact, he lost his balance at the second and lost his battle capability with the last one. He was smashed against a tree and curled on the ground clutching his stomach.

Lee and Tenten ran over worried. They tried to help him up but he just clutched his stomach and vomitted even more.

Ryu " Now do you get it? What's the need for tens attacks if you can take down your opponents in a few. You are fast and precise but lack the strength, you simply use chakra to coat your hands when you can do more. That's why i said that you will only degrade if you keep on using your clans techniques. "

Neji couldn't reply not only because of the pain.....he saw, he saw how Ryu used the same technique to achieve better results. He was always proud to be a Hyuuga but now he doubted whether his clans techniques were as trash as Ryu said.

" Sigh...go easy on him ". A voice spoke.

Ryu replied without even checking who spoke " You know how we became strong. We acknowledged our weakness and tried to better ourselves. If he realise his mistakes early on, the less regrets he will have in the future. "

Lee and Tenten knew who spoke, they turned to see Guy standing at the side. Both of them greeted Guy as he walked to Neji and helped him to sit up against a tree.

Guy " So what brings you here? "

Ryu " I was just passing by when I saw your team. Just that...I never expected your luck to be that high to get not one or two.... but three geniuses in your team "

Guy was dumbstruck when he heard that, he asked " What do you mean by that? "

Ryu looked at the three that were listening intently, even Neji tried his best not to lose consciousness so that he could hear what they were saying.

Ryu " First of all Neji...a once in a decade genius from the Hyuuga. He has already mastered most his clan techniques. He will become much more stronger if he realises his mistakes.

Next is Lee... well i don't need to explain more about him, he will inherit you and become the next strongest Taijutsu master.

Lastly Tenten... to be honest i didn't think much of her at first and she hasn't decided on which path she should take. But when I got here I saw her fiddling around with a few scrolls...storage scrolls to be exact. And she has a very high affinity towards space element.

That's why i said you got some dog shit luck to have three genius in your team."

Guy and the rest were dumbstruck when they heard him. Neji was not that surprised when he heard about him but he was numbed when he heard the rest. The same goes for the other three as well. Tenten and Lee didn't think they were geniuses, they always strived hard for their current achievements.

Guy knew Neji was a genius but not for the other two. He saw himself in Lee when he was younger and as for Tenten, Guy always encouraged her to find what truly suits her. Now that he heard what Ryu said, he couldn't keep calm.

Guy " For Neji and Lee I understand what I should do but...what about Tenten? For you to say this you must have something in mind"

Ryu chuckled " For starters she must try to increase her chakra capacity, also...i will give her a few seals that's related to space to work on. You do remember a certain someone who terrified the other villages by his technique that used a seal right? "

Guy didn't get who he meant instantly but then he remembered someone. He looked at Ryu for confirmation. Ryu nodded causing Guy to jump up and yell.

Lee was curious to know who Ryu meant " Guy sensei, who is this amazing person senior Ryu mentioned? "

Guy " I will tell you when the time is right."

Lee nodded reluctantly. Neji was a bit better now, he staggeringly went up to Ryu and bowed " Please teach me."

Guy and the rest were surprised. They were surprised to see Neji bowing to someone, he was a headstrong shinobi and wouldn't change his attitude for anyone.

Ryu didn't speak, he stared at Neji for some time before saying " And why would i waste my time for an arrogant prick like you?."

Neji didn't get up, he continued to bow. Ryu turned to leave, Lee and Tenten were about to speak up for Neji when they heard him say

" I do some training here every day "

With that said Ryu left. Lee and Tenten realised the meaning behind Ryu's words. They were happy for Neji and congratulated him.

Guy " That's enough for today. Go back home." He went after Ryu after saying this.

Ryu was waiting for Guy to arrive. He already planned to awaken Guy's physique today. After a few minutes Guy came.

Guy " What is it Ryu? Why did you signal me to follow you? "

Ryu " Guy, I want to talk about Hachimon Tonko "

Guy " What about it?"

Ryu " I know what happens if you open the Eighth gate but that's not why I called you here. I know a way to remove that."

Guy " WHAT!?? "
