A Warrior's Path 47 Chapter 47. Team 7

Naruto was tired after all that's happened, he fell asleep as soon as he laid down.

The next day....

The academy was lively. Everyone did their thing and waited for iruka to arrive. Shikamaru was walking by when he saw naruto

' Why are you here. Today is the briefing for graduates '

Naruto pointed to his headband : Can't you see this? Today onwards I am also a ninja

Naruto kept saying about how good the headband looked on him and such. Hinata watched from the back. She was happy that Naruto managed to pass.

Suddenly two girls rushed inside one had pink hair and the other had light blond hair. Ino and Sakura argued on who got here first. Naruto saw Sakura, he always liked her. Sakura looked towards his direction and quickly came running. Naruto was about to greet her when she tried to knock him out of the way. As someone trained by Ryu Naruto reacted fast enough and dodged making Sakura miss him. Sasuke noticed this and was surprised but didn't care.

She asked Sasuke if she could sit beside him. Soon Ino came and they started arguing on who came first and had the right to sit near Sasuke. The rest of the girls also joined the argument

Sasuke thought ' How annoying '.

Sarutobi and the Jounins assigned to each team was looking at this through sarutobi's crystal ball.

' It's lively in that class, isn't it?'

They all heard a sound from behind and looked back...It was Ryu.

Kakashi: This is a rare sight.

Ryu: What?

Kakashi: You attending any kind of briefing.

Ryu: Ugh..

Sarutobi: What? Came to see your brother.

Ryu: Yeah. Man that Uchiha kid have some fans huh.

Sarutobi looked at Ryu funnily: Like you are one to talk.

Ryu just laughed.

Every other Jounin at the scene were surprised, except for Asuma and Guy the other Jounins never had any contact with Ryu. But they have heard about the genius who can use Wood style and beated both Guy and Kakashi. They were especially astonished when they heard about him beating Guy in close combat. No one has ever done that before maybe Kakashi but they never fought with the intention to kill.

Ryu: I assume this deadeye is his Jounin.

Sarutobi was surprised when heard that but didn't bother. Ryu looked at the other Jounins and greeted them one by one. While they were introducing the class became a bit rowdy. The girls shouted at Naruto to stop staring at Sasuke.

A guy in front accidentally hit Naruto and he kissed Sasuke. The class was silent. The girls had their heart broken. Naruto and Sasuke coughed violently. Naruto sensed danger and saw the girls looking at him menacingly. He swore that it was an accident. Ryu was laughing his head off while the others had a wry smile.

When iruka came in he saw Naruto all beat up. He announced

' Today you all will officially become ninja. You will be separated into three man Genin team with a Jounin sensei. '

When Ino and Sakura heard that a verbal contest of who will get paired with Sasuke occured. Sasuke was arrogant thinking that the others are gonna be a burden.

Iruka: You are grouped based on your abilities. I will read the names.

Teams upto sixth were called. Iruka called names for Team 7

Uzumaki Naruto

Haruno Sakura

With this Naruto was happy and jumped up but..

Sasuke Uchiha

Naruto was down and Sakura raised her hand and jumped up. Hinata was sad that she didn't pair up with Naruto. Sakura gloated her victory at Ino. The rest of the teams were called. Naruto questioned why a top student like him was paired with Someone like Sasuke.

Iruka: You had the lowest score while Sasuke had the highest. The teams are created to balance shortcomings.

Naruto was dumbfounded when he heard that but then he remembered that the shadow clone that attended the Academy was created before he left and the other clones were created by this clone. So his abilities remained the same throughout two whole years.

Naruto: Aaaah..Dumbass!!

Sasuke: Don't be a log, blockhead.

Naruto: What did you say!?

The class ended with Naruto and Sasuke bickering with each other. Sakura was looking for Sasuke to have lunch but then Naruto came by and asked

Naruto: Sakura Chan wanna have some lunch? since you know we are in the same team.

Sakura : Why?

Naruto: Since we are in the same team.

Sakura: You are annoying.

She left looking for Sasuke after saying that. Naruto was down. Meanwhile inside Sarutobi's office...Ryu was pissed off when he saw how that little runt treated his brother. Ryu has seen in the anime how Sakura treated Naruto but seeing in reality really pissed him off.

Ryu: Old man, you wouldn't mind if I break a few of her bones, right?

Sarutobi was scared. He got off his chair and whacked his head : What the heck are you saying? They are kids. Let them take care of themselves.

Ryu still argued: But...how dare she treat my brother like that. who does she think she is? Looking at her...she isn't any beauty and she won't grow up to be a stunning women. Bah..and she shoos away my brother.

Every Jounin there sweated. That's a loving brother for you. Kakashi sighed for his future.

Sarutobi: Ryu!!! If you dare do anything I am gonna rat on your mother about you burning her lawn.

Ryu froze. He remembered Shisui's face after he accidentally burned her Sakura tree. He reluctantly nodded. The others stared. 'The Hokage did a cheap shot'.

They were about to move on when they saw Naruto attack Sasuke, restrain him and transform as him. They watched on and saw Naruto ran off when Sakura was about to kiss him but unlike the anime he ran off because he was nervous. Sasuke got out of his restraint and went after Naruto. He saw Sakura and asked if she saw Naruto. Sakura started talking and said Naruto was annoying. She said a lot about him not having parents and that's why he was like that.

Even Sarutobi was a bit angered when he heard Sakura speak about Naruto's parents. He was silent when Ryu spoke

Ryu : You know WHY he doesn't have parents. They died saving this village and it's people. They even put the Kyuubi.. a huge burden on their child to save this village and yet this is what he gets. All these years this village treated him like trash, a demon and now this. Old man, I am not a saint. I am a human and a big brother.

Sarutobi was ashamed when he heard that but before he could speak he heard what Sasuke said. Ryu knew Sasuke would say that. He sighed and left. Sarutobi was relieved that Ryu didn't insist any further. He just told the Jounins to meet up with their Genins.

Sarutobi : Aaah.. These kids are gonna be the end of me.
