Holy City, one of the bases under the control of Saint Church. Most of the bases they had have the same name. The location is what people use to identify which one they need to go to.

Mael, Ryu and Hisoka stood before the incredibly large gate. The gate was inscribed with Saints and Gods, people seemed to be bowing before them seeking salvation.

Hatred was visible in Mael's eyes seeing the city. Ryu patted his shoulder and walked in, the guards were checking the travellers to see if there was anyone with a criminal record. Ryu used a simple Genjutsu and slipped past them.

Mael escaped from this place so he was bound to be recognised. Before their objective is achieved Ryu didn't want to bring in any unknown variables.

Walking past the long roads bustling with activity Ryu found it hard to imagine this place to be where fanatics lived. But he wasn't someone who would immediately judge something or someone.

Mael quietly walked past the road, fifteen minutes later they came across a large square. Here people were considerably low when compared to other places. All of them muttered some curses under their breath and walked away.

Ryu's pupils shrunk when he gazed at the center of the square. Mael who was next to him trembled, tears rolled off his cheeks uncontrollably. Even Hisoka went silent seeing the kid.

Right before their eyes was a huge cross. The cross was charred and gave off a putrid smell. But what was eye catching was a body sewn on it. The body was similarly charred, burnt flesh and blood formed a revolting sight.

' Those fuckers... they didn't kill her immediately! They slowly burned her alive.'

For once after his arrival here, in this realm Ryu felt the urge to mindlessly slaughter. He looked around and found people cursing at the woman on the cross. Ryu looked at Mael and sighed.

' I couldn't even begin to imagine what he is going through..

He walked forward. The crowd seemed to be pushed away by some kind of force. Standing within the boundary separating the cross and the people Ryu made a grabbing motion.

" Hey you! What are you doing!? "

" Get back you fucker! She is a DEMON, a sinner that received a just ending! "

Ignoring the noisy crowd Ryu broke the restrictions around the cross with ease. The cross was ripped out from the ground and reduced to dust. The mutilated body slowly floated down. Ryu placed it infront of Mael.

Seeing his mother's body Mael wept. He couldn't help but remember that kind smile of hers, his heart felt like it was being torn again and again.

People were stunned and someone went forward, he was a Level 6 True Immortal. Releasing his aura the man pressured Ryu.

" Since you came to take her body then you must belong to the same group as that vile woman. Die! "

Without any warning the man attacked. Ryu lifted his eyes and watched the incoming attack. The man felt his scalp go numb seeing that look, he trusted his instincts and tried to pull back but it was already too late.

Ryu seems to traverse space as he appeared before him. His fingers formed a claw and plunged deep into his chest.

" You!.... puff.....

Horror emerged within his eyes. He felt pain like never before but he couldn't utter a single word. Time seemed to have slowed down, he saw his won blood red heart being pulled out, it was still beating.

Ryu watched coldly as the man's eyes lost its spark. He burned the heart into nothing and turned to the crowd.

" What were you saying? "

The crowd went silent. Terrifying! That word appeared within everyone. This harmless Immortal killed a True Immortal like a chicken, his eyes were cold and indifferent as he tore his heart out. Like hell they would speak to a lunatic like that.

Ryu walked upto Mael, wood emerged from the ground forming a coffin. Green vines covered the interior with flowers as a mattress. Mael wiped away his tears and gently placed his mother inside.

" We have company~ "

Hisoka looked up and said. Ryu was already watching the incoming people with murderous eyes. His eyes changed to Chaos and pulled in Mael and his mother into his pocket dimension.

" Navii, release the 9th seal."

Hisoka smiled faintly sensing Ryu's changes. His eyes focused on the incoming figures.

Three people stood in mid air. All of them wore golden armour and had incredible aura around them. All three of them were Golden Immortals, two were Level 8 and One was Level 9.

" Outrageous! To aid a Demon! "

" Since you chose to help that abomination then you shall also follow her footsteps."

Ryu laughed coldly. He was already grabbing his Sword. The blade was trembling from the amount of aura he was giving off. Hearing there remarks Ryu became even more calm, only a faint smile was etched on his face.

Only his friends would understand what was about to happen when he has that kind of smile.

" Zanka No Tachi... Getsuga Tensho..... Amaterasu... Devils Heart... Wabisuke....

In a single breath Ryu combined half a dozen of abilities. His sword was now emanating a baleful aura making the three Golden Immortals frown. They felt threat from Ryu.

" He is dangerous. Gerard, kill the other man we will take care of him."

" Yes."

Just as Gerard was about to move a gust of wind whistled past him. His body froze, an unbelievable expression was painted on his face. The other two Golden Immortals felt their scalp go numb and retreated.

Right before their eyes the man called Gerard started to burne. The flame started from his neck and completely consumed him in seconds. He wailed inside, heart wrenching screams echoed the the city causing everyone who heard it to shiver.

Ryu stood behind him with a cold expression. He watched the other two and said with an icy smile.
