A Warrior's Path 213 Chapter 213. Going to Purgatory

Ryu looked at Escanor. He could see his resolution and was satisfied, if he didn't have this much courage then he isn't suited to be a Titan.

" Merlin spoke to you, didn't she? "

Escanor didn't lie and nodded. Ryu shrugged

" Well, it doesn't matter either way. Alright, since you can acknowledge your weakness and have the courage to strive for strength I shall help you.

First, your Magic Sunshine.... it draws energy from the Sun or rather the intensity of Sun's rays. Higher the intensity, stronger you becomes. Sun's rays are strongest at noon, that's the reason why you are strongest at that particular time.

But..... that's not true Magic. You are just borrowing that power. In this world every being possess Magic and they are able to store Magic within them but you..... you directly take energy from Sun and use it.

If you can store that energy within you then I believe your body will go through a metamorphis and become something seen only in legends."

Escanor " But I have tried it before. For some reason my body can't seem to contain energy, it just leaks out."

Ryu scoffed " That's a given. You have no idea about pressure points nor about meridians nor about energy centers. It is because you don't understand such things that you can't store that energy."

Escanor " Why am I the only one? Captain and the others are the same and yet they can store Magic."

Ryu sneered " Don't be naive Escanor. Sun is a Heavenly Star. It's an entirely different concept than Magic, Demonic or Holy. It's power can't be contained without sufficient knowledge and fate."

Escanor hesitated " Can you...

Ryu stopped him " Yes I will help you since you are part of us now."

Escanor was startled " Didn't you say... you won't let me join? "

Ryu shrugged " That's before. Your pride stopped you from getting help from others. You will only listen to Merlin and noone else. That's why I said you can't join us. Since you can put away that pride and ask me for help then you are qualified to join us.

Escanor, we Titans are a team, we consider every Titan a friend and we will always stand together and help each other. That's why I wanted you to understand what it means to be one of us.

If you hadn't come today then no matter how strong you get I will never allow you to join us. Arrogance is etched into the bones of geniuses and mighty but you should never show that within Titans because everyone one of us is what people refer to as unparalleled Geniuses."

Saying that Ryu's will erupted, Escanor felt as if he was looking upon a King destined to rule all. A faint hope was now lit in his heart, to be part of such monsters.....

The waning pride within him erupted. That thin figure of his wasn't able to cover-up the majesty within.

Ryu smiled " Go home Escanor. Once I have settled this Holy war we will leave. Be prepared."

Escanor nodded and left. Ryu walked back inside and saw Madara was leaning to the door frame. It seems like he heard everything.

Ryu grinned " I told you, he is strong."

Madara nodded and went back to his room.

Next day...

Ryu was standing with the Seven sins and Elizabeth.

" Why are you guys tagging along? You do know I am going to Purgatory? "

Meliodas smiled " I want to see you beat the crap out of the old guy."

Ban " Never seen purgatory before."

King " Slightly curious."

Everyone of them gave confusing answers. Ryu chuckled and asked.

" How are you gonna defend against the flames of Purgatory? "

Merlin " No problem. With these we won't be affected."

She raised her arm and showed a bracelet engraved with several magic charms. Ryu nodded and swiped his hand in mid air. A rift was opened and hot air gushed out.

With Ryu's control over space he was able to sense different planes layered over this world. One was the Demon world the other was the Heavens.

Ryu strolled inside with the sins following him. All of them felt their body burn when they entered but very quickly the bracelets blocked out the burning sensation and the violent storms.

A thin layer of energy covered their bodies as they walked. Ryu on the other hand didn't even use an ounce of energy, the flames of Purgatory didn't even scratch him. Everyone stared at this sight.

Ban " His body sure is sturdy."

Meliodas chided " You are one to speak, you are Immortal."

Ban " ~~ Lucky me~~"

Ryu was astonished at Merlin's ability. She had created a bracelet to not block but to isolate the space around the one wearing the bracelets.

' She sure is brilliant! '

He walked along and spread out his sense in all directions. He was trying to find the Demon King but failed.

Ryu furrowed his eyebrows then it suddenly hit him ' He somehow understood I was coming for him and hid. Now then, how should I find an old man that had lived in Purgatory for millions of years? '

Suddenly Ryu's senses picked up something. He walked towards it and found a pig.... anyway it had two long and sharp tusks. As soon as the rest saw this pig.....

" Master Hawk / Hawk !!!!! "

Ryu was amused. He sensed that this creature was very strong and peculiar. It's bloodline is very strong allowing it to adapt under any situation.

The pig heard their yelling and said " My name is not Hawk, I am Wild!!

A wandering Warrior searching for my long lost brother!! "

Meliodas and the rest " Huh!!!???! "
