A Slave who became Emperor 19 Preparing for the Journey

The council decided to meet again in two days time to provide solution. Everyone was in favor of the marriage alliance. Getting a future emperor as a son-in-law was a prospect that no one could ignore, they wanted this to work out in every possible way. Meanwhile Samyukta and Pinaka were preparing for the journey. ' she broke down crying.

Pinaka said, 'mother, please don't cry, you will come with me to the Gupta empire after everything is set, father.. you too must come, ' his father said, 'son, you have your own Royal Family there, we can't leave our oath of protecting the Chandra Dynasty, we will continue to stay here, but we can visit you often, ' his father too had tears in his eyes, but he kept himself strong for the sake of his family. His mother too nodded in agreement and hugged Pinaka. He stopped the train of his thoughts and started choosing his weapons. He took two swords, one spear and set of arrows with a bow. As he was choosing his weapons, Samyukta came in, she gave him a radiant smile and she too started choosing weapons. This woman, why was she so amazing, a warrior princess, a beauty, yet she was so simple and honest.. he just wanted to spend some time with her.. but this was not the right moment. Pinaka must wait, till everything is right in his Gupta empire. Samyukta after collecting her set of weapons, came near Pinaka, she saw him staring at her. She took an axe in her hand and gave it to him.. she said, 'this was especially made for you, I got it done by the official weaponsmith, I didn't know what to gift you, I hope you like it.. '

The axe was a master piece, it indicated the craftsmanship of the weaponsmith,the sharpness of the blade,the angle at which it was attached to the handle, good grip and though it looked heavy, it was of light weight which will help in better handling.He knew that this is an amazing weapon. He smiled at her and said, 'thank you.. but I didn't get anything for you.. what do you want? ' she blushed and said, 'I will ask you later.. ' how cool was she, he felt that he was blessed to have her in his life. He held her hand and kissed it, he said, 'Samyukta, you are a boon to me, I promise that I will take great care of you in the future, '

Then they went into the chamber of the emperor. Prince Surya and Prince Deepak were in the chamber, they looked at Pinaka as if they were in a daze. They always looked down upon him, they didn't like that their father treated Pinaka like a son while he was just a slave, now his status was so high, he is the person who will be the emperor of the Gupta empire. It was a huge change, they came near him and Prince Deepak said, 'we will support you, we will come along with you both to the Gupta empire, ' Prince Surya nodded, Pinaka smiled and said, 'Prince Deepak and Prince Surya, when the princess is away from the empire, how can you both leave, you must stand with the emperor and support him' they were reluctant, but even the emperor said, 'Prince Pinaka is right, my sons, thank you for accepting my decision. Samyukta and Pinaka, in the evening the council meets, we will let you know what we have decided.. ' everyone nodded and took their leave from the emperor.

Evening came and the council assembled in the meeting chambers. The emperor too came in, everyone raised and greeted the emperor. He nodded and said, 'gentlemen, anyone has any solution? ' the prime minister said, 'your majesty, we have read all the laws of the land once again and we didn't find anything written in it that can help us in current situation... however there is a mention of reforms.., we can add or edit the existing laws if everyone in the council agrees, we also need to take approval of the city Council.. then we can take an amendment and introduce a reform regarding the marriage of the future empress.. ' The emperor smiled, he said, 'then we can proceed as per that.. I don't see any problem in this, ' the prime minister said, 'your majesty, I will then ask the city Council to come and meet you.. ' the emperor said, 'no let's go and meet the council at the city Hall, but till Pinaka ascends the throne of the Gupta empire, we need to keep this matter a secret, let's do one thing, we will wait till Pinaka becomes the emperor, ...this is final, we will take amendment, the glory of Magadha will raise further..! '
