*GRRRRR*

It was the only response I got as I psyched myself up. Even though they were menacing and growling at me, they didn't dash forwards. I sweated hard as I watch the numbers grow.

They hadn't attacked me, and seemed to be waiting for backup.

I could already count 20 of them and didn't think it was really necessary for them to wait. I watch the number grow to 30 as I tried to asses all my possible plans. I couldn't think of anything that would avoid this fight, I couldn't even jump into the water and swim.

Looking at the status in front of me I didn't trust that they wouldn't be able to chase us down.

Just looking at this one status I could gauge the power of what I was about to face.

I had already prepared myself and couldn't wait any longer. The numbers were around 40, but I was having trouble counting them by now, we were totally surrounded.

I gritted my teeth and sent a small message to Ella.

'The one on the center left, and then all the rest on that side'

My eyes shifted to hers' and I saw her shift her vision. Her back tensed slightly and I didn't look back as I dashed towards my right.

"AWOOOOO!!!"

As I moved a strong voice came from behind the group in front and exploded in my ears. I grinned, it was about to begin.

*Twang*

The bow sounded out and the arrow sped towards a wolf on the left. I brandished my blade as another howl went out.

"Awoooo!!"

The arrow was true, it was the last thought I had before my instincts took me.

The wolf in front of me pounced forwards, while the others went to pincer me. I couldn't spend too long for each kill, I didn't have the time!

My focus reached its peak and my surroundings slowed minutely. I ducked down and rolled under the pouncing wolf. My blade struck out from below and hit the soft belly part, causing blood to spray out.

I didn't look back as I dived forwards towards my next prey.

*Whoosh*

The sound of something breaking through air came from behind me, as I sprinted towards the next wolf. It bared its teeth and didn't pounce as expected, it instead guarded itself. I couldn't finish it in one blow like this.

I could hear the wolves behind me and didn't know how close they were.

Shit!

I re-thought quickly and stopped all my forward momentum. I dove to the ground and turned my body as fast as I could. Holding my blade out, I felt a strong force crash into my wrist and almost twisted it.

A huge body crashed to the ground next to me as I turned over quickly and dodged a pouncing wolf. As it landed and turned its face towards me, snarling, I sent the blade right into its eye.

"Awoooo!"

Blood exploded out as its paw came to slap at me. I ignored it as I plunged it deeper. I felt it sink past something, as a huge force slammed into my shoulder.

"ARGH!"

*Crack*

I felt my bones creek as the wolf slumped above me. My rage exploded out as the pain coursed through my body. The temperature started to drop as I felt something else jump on top of me.

"Urgh"

The wind was kicked out of me as I punched it with my free hand. Its endurance wasn't that high, so I felt its soft body squish into my fist. I used enough force that the beast was pushed aside, enough that I could swing my sword at it.

The blade sunk into its head and I rolled over to my belly. I felt something else move closer, as I pushed with all my strength into the ground. I did a push up with enough strength that my body actually was lifted off the ground by 3 meters. The wolf that had just clawed where I was lying growled and looked up at me.

I coughed out some blood midair as I couldn't control my body. I let gravity drag me down and pointed my sword towards the wolf. It moved to the side to not get hit, so I landed on my feet and swung at it.

*Clang*

The sword came into contact with its teeth and a loud sound rang out. I was almost frightened at the thought that its teeth were so sharp. But then I saw the white canines chip and blood exploded out.

"Awourgh!"

It tried to shout out as the blood started to fill its mouth and I quickly moved to the side. I sensed another fast moving projectile incoming and couldn't finish it off.

A claw flew by and while I was distracted, another one slammed into my back. The force behind flung me in the air and twisted my body. I got a glimpse of the wolf that had just struck and noticed that it was bigger than the other ones. My danger presence exploded as I looked at it and I knew this was the most dangerous one.

Its pelt was pitch black and looked completely different from the others. I couldn't get analyze out as I tried to balance myself midair. I couldn't do it and slammed hard into the ground.

*Spit*

"Potion!"

I spit out blood and quickly screamed for a potion. I didn't even look in Kuro's direction as I assessed my surroundings. There were still 3 wolves surrounding me, with 2 ready to pounce.

I spat out blood again as I felt something slam into my body. The vial that was carrying the potion cracked and splashed over my back. I didn't mind and wiped my free hand over the remains. While I still had time, I used what remained and smeared it over some of my injuries. I didn't have time to catch and drink one of these things.

I only just smeared some over my face as another jumped towards me. I turned to face it, but was surprised as an arrow came from the left and struck into its eye. It sunk in deep and instantly killed it.

I shot a look towards Ella who had just intervened and saw a number of wolves surrounding her. She caught my eye and sent me a smile, before throwing her bow to the ground.

That had been her last arrow!

She pulled out her sword and got prepared. I could feel both our aura's going full force to suppress these beasts.

I frowned as I looked at the wolves surrounding her, I don't have time for this!

I twisted on my heel and rushed towards the second wolf, preparing for me. I kicked off the ground and launched myself at it. While midair it prepared itself, but instead of swinging, I used my best ability to throw the sword out.

Not expecting the sudden throw, it couldn't react as the sword struck its body. Using my forwards momentum I landed in front of it and banged in the hilt of the sword. Red flowed out as I unclenched my fist and grabbed the hilt.

Pulling it with all my strength, I let the wolf behind me bite into my back. The pain became worse as I felt its teeth obliterate my bones. But while it was immobile, I sent a strike for its head.

"Potion!"

Losing strength in its grip and dying, I rushed towards where Ella was standing. She was in front of Kuro who had her back to the stream and stopping the wolves from getting to her. Kuro would throw out constant potions at Ella, to try and heal her.

They exploded on her body and back, seeping into her skin. It was working slightly but blood continued to explode out.

A box appeared in my face and I pushed it to the side. I didn't have time for this. The temperature was very cold now, as small ice crystals appeared in a small diameter around my body.

"AWOOOOO!"

More howls rang out as wolves pounced in front and from behind. They were impeding me from reaching them. I slashed left and right as I felt blood spill from my body, to then be replenished from those around me.

*Pack*

More small vials hit me as my eyes turned to slits.

My wounds healed, as more were made. I planted my feet to not be thrown from their immense strength.

*Bam*

I fell to the ground again as a strong force slammed into me, I flipped my sword out and hit the belly, it didn't mind, as its teeth came for my head. I moved it back and slammed it into the ground. It rattled my brain but saved my life.

Shifting it off, I got back to my feet again.

*Snap*

"ARGH!!!"

The black wolf appeared again out of nowhere, as its teeth took of some of my fingers.

2 of my left fingers had disappeared as I gritted my teeth and pulled my hand back into a fist. I sent a punch to its head, but it dodged back. I tried desperately to swing my sword at its retreating figure, but it was too fast. While I was off balance another wolf slammed into me and knocked me down.

I vomited some blood as I focused my ice ability into my missing fingers. The wounds froze over and the pain slowly disappeared. 2 red stumps were left from where my fingers where, but I had no time to think as I rolled a few times. The wolf that attacked me was caught in my flying sword and had to retreat as I stood back up.

I was still surrounded as I looked around.

I felt my rage building higher as a gust of cold air gathered into my belly. It moved up to hover in front of my heart, as it got colder and colder. It was starting to hurt, as I continued to fight back against the wolves.

I was having trouble trying to breathe as the cold built up. My surroundings were even colder than before as my minds focus spread outwards.

"ARRGGGHHHH!!!!"
