A God's Apocalyptic Entertainment 136 Hunting

The bell like laugh of Ella sounded behind me as I turned my neck to look at her. She had a wide smile on her face as she shot arrow after arrow at the running players. She didn't have to reach for an arrow as the bow would produce arrows based off her energy.

This saved her a lot of time and trouble of clean up. And right now she was having the time of her life, I hadn't seen her this happy…. well ever really. Maybe it was because of the increase in her mental faculties, but she was acting more like a normal person and expressing her emotions in a normal way.

Though I guess it wasn't normal shooting people with a smile. She had at fist come to the front for the fights and killed people with a sword, but she now found it better to shoot them from a distance. Of course when we collected the spoils she would come closer to use 'Demonic Kiss'.

Ella quite enjoyed the skill and told me using it was like having a nice refreshing drink. The thought of a protein drink appeared in my head, and it took me a while to shake it out. That was just a weird though, but apt.

Because they were so weak, all the energy would still go to Rose over our link, her stats were rising pretty fast as we killed them, but I noticed they were slowing down after the last few groups.

The groups would usually drop combat gear or other gear that was rated around the same. They were only at level 15 or below, so I could understand why that was happening. The real treasure was the exp. I had never noticed before now how much Exp a person would drop.

Going off how much exp I needed at level 15, I was getting anywhere between 10 – 20% of the exp bar. It was an insane amount of exp and we were leveling fast, I had already made it to level 23. Even though the Exp we needed had rose exponentially we were rocketing up.

I could see a lot of people exploiting this in the early levels to level fast and get to level 20. But I also realized that doing this would be feasible later, as the exp got to be too much. By level 50 no one would let you kill them for exp, because they would lose too much.

I turned back to the fight in front of me and quickly finished of the warrior at the front. Even though we were having a competition Rose and Ella at least left a few for me to fight. Seeing as they both could kill people at a range I was at a serious disadvantage.

By now I knew that I would have to pamper Ella for a day after this, there was no way I was going to win. I didn't really mind though, I needed to relax every now and then.

In the next few minutes we quickly dealt with the group, it was getting a bit repetitive after running into 12 groups now. Ella moved in closer with Rose and they both got to work. Rose also quite enjoyed using the skill. She used 'Dryads Kiss' on the Elves and other even before we turned up and the increase in the skills proficiency was new to her.

I looked to Ella that was draining away and asked.

"How many left in the town?"

Ella stopped what she was doing for a second before sniffing the air. Her senses were truly scary. After doing only that small movement she pointed in 4 directions, meaning there were only 4 groups left. After we dealt with them we would go for the larger group.

Just as I went to pick and crush the globes, while the other 2 ate? Was that the right word? While I was doing that, Ella suddenly stopped, a small frown appearing on her face. I could feel the uneasiness that spread through her body so I stopped what I was doing and turned around. Rose did the same.

Ella sniffed the air and started to look around; there was something on her mind.

'I think there is someone close by. A Rogue in stealth.'

She sent that through our mental link, Rose and I both nodded.

'Act normal I'll see what I can find with my spirit vision'

I made eye contact with the both of them, and they went back to what they were doing. I stood up straight and looked around as leisurely as I could. I still remember what happened when that rogue ambushed me that one time.

From the information I had read in the library, I knew that a rogue naturally got a skill called Rogue's Stealth. This made it easier for them to blend into the background of places, which mad getting around and past people easier.

If they went to specialize in stealth they would become an Infiltrator at level 10, making this skill even better. After that they would then go to the Master Infiltrator class and be the classic Rogue that people play in games.

The one that sneaks around people and tried to backstab them, of course there were variances as a person got to a higher level, but that was all I needed to know for now. The books in the library only gave me the basic information and descriptions of the class. The person that ambushed me before was definitely an Infiltrator.

As none of the Players I met so far are above level 15, at most I could see this intruder as an Infiltrator. It was time to test out how good my spirit vision was. Ella's nose was good, but naturally infiltrators had ways around such things as smell.

They could cover their sent to sneak up on a target; it was actually really good that Ella had spotted something out of place. She had read the same books as I had and instantly thought of a Rogue.

I quietly activated my spirit vision as I surveyed the area, and soon before my eyes I caught something. They may have been able to blend into the background and use a stealth skill, but they hadn't hidden their energy. Or no I was wrong, they had hidden their energy they were suppressing it in a certain fashion. But even this wasn't good enough, they hadn't completely gotten rid of it.

Thanks to that I was able to see a grouped up energy signature that was moving closer and closer to us. It wouldn't be long before they could use analyze on us.

'Found them'

I sent the small message to both of them, but they showed no signs of hearing it. I smiled to myself and tried not to look in the direction. I didn't want to scare them away.

Thanks to my spirit vision I was able to easily see the silhouette of the person, it was blurry but it was a human shape. They reached up to their wrist and I could see their fingers move. They were using their EPC to send someone a message.

I directed my thoughts to Rose and tried to send her the image I could just see. With the increase in out connection and the skill 'Energy share' and 'Soul bond', a new feature I found between all of us, was the fact I could send them small images.

Just like when I had to watch Ella massacre the town, if I concentrated hard enough and so did they, we would be able to share images.

By sending the image to Rose I also sent over my plan.

Just as the rogue would enter the range to use Analyze, Rose would send a spike right through her. If we work quickly enough Ella could also shoot an Arrow and I could close the distance. It was only one person so I wasn't too worried.

I just had to aim for when they are distracted.

The figure entered the right range for analyze and stopped for a second, they pulled their hand up to write another message, and while they were doing that we sprang into action.

'Now!'
