White words popped up onto the screen and quickly faded to black.

The steady sound of a heart beat reverberated on the black screen.

*Budum*

Gasps of breath could be heard next as it started to steadily increase. A person was starting to gasp for breath, their heart rate turning erratic.

The screen finally turned bright as the sun shone down its bright yellow light. It was a blinding sight before the camera started to pan. It turned downwards, the blue of the sky was tinged a slight orange as the arid heat could almost be felt.

The breathing got louder as the sound of flies and other bugs started to come from the background. The land scape shown was one of a desert.

Dunes of sand could be seen for miles as small buildings were scattered about. They weren't destroyed, but the buildings looked desolate.

The ragged breath got louder as a new sound was introduced; the camera was getting closer to something down below.

A small crowd of people where gathered. It was a group of 10-15 people that had formed a circle.

*Clang*

A new sound was added to the quiet area. In the middle of the group of people were 2 figures, a small circle had been drawn out and they were both fighting. One of them had their shirt off, showing his tanned skin and bulging muscles.

He was using a sword to attack the other figure.

The other figure was an Egyptian man wearing light clothes. He held an axe in his hands and was backing off slowly from his opponent.

The crowd around them were being loud and calling out to the 2 figures. The group that was surrounding them was made up of Egyptian people, like the man who was lightly clothed, so were they. It was easy to tell who they were rooting for. As the opponent with the sword, while tanned, was not Egyptian. He looked more European.

As the Egyptian man pulled back and got into an attack position readying his axe, you could finally tell where the rapid heartbeat and gasping for air was coming from.

The tanned man with no shirt was gasping for breath as he staggered back. As he was about to reach the edge of the circle and step out of it, one of the crowd pushed him back in.

The push although light made the man stumble forwards, but the opponent didn't attack, he stood still looking at the man. A small smile tugged at his lips and from a glance you could tell who was going to win. The tanned man was gasping for breath and the audience could tell from his beating heartbeat that was galloping like a horse, he was tired.

Compared to him the Egyptian man looked calm and only had a small sheen of sweat on his forehead.

"Come on Outlander! You wanted to take our water and leave us for dead! We said if you could beat our captain in a fight you could leave with your life. If you don't try harder, only the sand will accompany your dead body."

A woman from the side shouted out towards the tanned man and he showed a pained expression. The others that had surrounded him laughed even louder and jeered at the man. They had small pouches at their side and sacks on their backs, which would contain water.

It could be assumed that the tanned man had run out of water and in desperation tried to steel it from this group. Now they were making a game out of a thieve they caught.

The crowd on the outside got louder but the captain in the middle didn't say a word, his concentrated expression didn't leave the man. He was calm and ready to kill his prey. The edge of his axe glistened in the sun and looked deadly.

*Huff* *Huff*

The tanned person breathed in deeply as he regained his resolve and bet everything on the fight. The hand that was holding the sword clenched as he went on the attack.

The Egyptian man waited calmly and prepared his axe. The tanned man was clearly no expert in the use of a sword but he tried his best. He came in with slashes from the right and the left trying to get a body shot in. Sometimes he would go for an overhead attack and use the rebound to try and attack faster.

His movements weren't practiced but they did hold power. Unfortunately for him the Egyptian man in front of him was a season fighter. The way he held the blade and positioned himself gave him easy access to defense and if an expert looked they would be able to tell that he could have countered quite a few times.

But the man didn't, he kept his calm and kept defending. It was obvious from a bird's eye view which the camera was showing, but to the man he was facing, that was giving his all; it would be hard to notice.

But all things had to come to an end. Finally after a few minutes as the tanned man was starting to lose strength and could barely move. He went in for a desperate attack that was his last. He put everything in, holding nothing back as he forgot about protecting himself.

The Egyptian man raised his axe to meet the blow and parried it to the side, using the edge of the blade to force it to the ground. Once he got it down, he raised his foot and kicked the man in his leg to throw him off balance.

And while the person's leg caved in he raised his axe again and quickly chopped off his hand.

The heart beat reached a new high as a scream ripped from his throat. Blood came out from his clenched jaw and he raised his stump of a hand, falling to his knees.

The scream was quickly cut off though as the edge of an axe decapitated the poor man. His tanned body fell to the ground his head rolling a short distance away.

And with the disappearance of the head, the loud banging of the heart was reduced to nothing as it stilled in a second.

The cheers from the side resounded even louder, chanting the name of their captain, completely taking over the quiet background.

"Amen Almasi!"

The crowd cheered, as Amen reached down and grabbed the glowing orb the tanned man had dropped. While he was kneeling before the body he said something quietly and closed his eyes for a second. Once he straightened himself and turned his back on the body the same woman that had talked before quietly walked up to him and handed him some water. He reached out for it and took a short sip, before returning it.

Receiving the water she reached for a piece of cloth and handed it over. He grabbed it and slowly wiped the blood of the axe in his hand.

Finished with that, he slung it over his back and grabbed some equipment that was to the side. Putting it on himself he looked at the group that had turned quit. They looked at him, waiting for his order before they did anything.

He nodded towards them once and then pointed towards a certain direction. With that done the group moved out leaving the circle with the dead body, and head that was off to the side.

Their backs as they moved off started to blend into the sand, as the screen turned black.

(Are these trailers getting longer?)

(Previous poster is right, there was something different about the trailer while I watched it. I couldn't put my finger on it, but looking at the video length it is at least 20 seconds longer than the last. And the video before that is also longer. The have been getting longer since the start.)

(Well I for one am glad! The detail in the fight was so good! The pumping of the heart really got me going!)

(Yes it perfectly showed the abilities of the melee class and the restrictions of using a sword. Though the Axe wasn't the best weapon to use against a human, the mastery of the Egyptian NPC was tremendous! With that level of skill he should be able to kill monsters at an incredible rate.)

(That fight was Awesome!)

(That tanned man put his all into the fight! Though he shouldn't have tried to steal!)

(Yeah this could have all been avoided if he hadn't tried to steal water. You heard what that woman said!)

(What idiot goes into a dessert like that with little water!? I have no clue if he lost his somehow, but it was a stupid move!)

(There must be places in a dessert like that to refill on water, or it would be impossible to explore the region.)

(Well the chatter online says the game is very realistic, it might not be the case. They could possible not coddle you for the game)

(Coddle me! Like I would need such a thing! It is just a simple game mechanic to help the players in such hazardous areas. It makes the game flow much smoother for us!)

(And who says they care about you?! This game is billed to be a second life! It's the first full dive VRMMO, they could get rid of such practices.)

(He has a point, no one knows what the full game is going to be like.)

(Yeah, just the pain setting in the game, sets it apart from others. Not that I would know someone that would want to have a pain setting. Quite a weird thing to put into the game.)

Chloe stifled a yawn as she closed the laptop. The trailer was longer than the last few. Would that make hers longer as well?

She thought to herself as she moved to her bed and tried to get back to sleep.
