A God's Apocalyptic Entertainment 113 Demon

I was called out to as I walked through the door. It had been 30 minutes since I caught up with Liam. I had made my way back to a little house in the outskirts of the city. It was right next to the wall. It was cheap, and with the amount of zombies we killed each day, relatively easy to pay for. We didn't need much. Actually just having a nice place to sleep in the city away from danger was a relief.

"Hey Sam."

I shouted out to the woman who had greeted me. She had been in the same year as me in school and I didn't really talk to her. It was only after all this started that we got to know each other. After all the crap we had been through I was actually starting to like her.

There was something about the way she killed infected when we first met… ok all jokes aside, it was her personality that never gave up, that really drew me to her.

"Hey Everyone Gather up!"

I screamed out to the whole house to grab everyone's attention. I would have time to speak to Sam later, for now it was better to spread the good news. They would surely be surprised when they found out about Liam. I don't know if any of them knew Liam personally though. But having a friend who was somehow already level 20, would give them all a shock.

We were walking towards the plaza. I had told everyone about what happened, and there were mixed results. Some of the people knew who he was, and were friends with him, that I didn't know. And others had no clue. At least in the end everyone was happy that another person survived this damn apocalypse.

I told them about meeting up with him later and what I had seen. When I mentioned the 2 babes he was hanging out with some of the remaining guys got excited and pestered me for more details. But they hadn't talked much while I was with him, so I could give them no info.

Also Liam was very protective of them, so I thought they would have no chance. But what the heck it's the end of the world, shouldn't give up trying.

We still had a lot of time till the meeting so we just went around town looking for stuff. Also keeping an eye out for bad people. We had come to an agreement that we would help keep a bit of law in the town. We couldn't help with everything, but if someone was trying to attack another person and drag them out of the town. We would step in and stop them. Of course we ourselves couldn't attack them.

It was especially bad with the woman and children in town; they would usually be targeted by some men that skulked about. Most people these days had realized how safe they were in the town, so they didn't have to worry. But that wouldn't always last.

We had to become stronger fast.

We grouped up as usually and went on our way. I went with Sam, as everyone in the group knew we were getting close. I hadn't told Liam about her when I was talking to him before. I wanted to leave it as a surprise. I would get a good laugh out of that. But then I thought about the 2 women that were with him, maybe I wouldn't?

I was holding Sam's hand when it happened.

The sky started to darken and a huge pressure was being radiated out. My body froze and I couldn't move. I could barely use my neck and mouth to do anything. All I could do was stare up at the clouds that had become dark.

A wind was picking up and I was scared shitless. I couldn't move my body, the pressure was getting worse. Everyone else around of the street was in the same situation.

My eyes turned to Sam that was standing next to me. Her eyes were filled with terror the same as mine. What was about to happen? I looked into her terror filled eyes, and tried to change mine, to make them look reassuring. But I didn't think it was working.

The overcast cloud continued to get bigger and bigger as we stood in place, the pressure becoming unbearable. My only glimmer of hope was the fact we were in the town where nothing could happen. And when that thought was passing through my head, a big message appeared which shatter it into pieces.

(Error! City Protection Period forcefully stopped because of unforeseen circumstances!)

My face became pale. Oh Nooo.

"Arghh!!!!!!!!"

A loud scream tore out across the town and I felt the death that was going to approach us. The pressure suddenly changed. It wasn't forcing us down anymore. We still couldn't move our bodies, but it was more like it was drawing us in.

I felt the sweaty palm in my hands and looked at Sam once again.

I would give anything to be able to reach out and hug her right now.

Anything...

Hunger!!!!

I sprung to the closest meal that was waiting for me. It didn't fight back as my jaw opened and I began my meal.

It was being really obedient and didn't make a sound. It knew I was hungry.

"Good mEal."

I ran my hand through their hair as I complemented them.

I was so hungry that I finished the meal in a few seconds. But it still wasn't enough!!!!

I needed more!!!

So much More!!!!

"no…"

My voice came out quietly, I couldn't say anymore as Ella killed the first woman. She couldn't move and had pissed herself by the time Ella reached her. She couldn't do anything as she was eaten alive, blood gushing out. Ella caressed her half dead body before finishing the meal.

Tears had started to come down my face; I could feel everything that she was feeling. I could feel the blood gush down my throat, the delight. I couldn't look away, my eyes wouldn't close.

What had I done?

All that could come out was laughter and tears as I looked at what she was becoming. She had had already moved onto the next victim, or it was more like they were moving towards her.

People's bodies couldn't control themselves as they moved slowly to the mad Ella. She continued to gorge on their bodies looking for any nutrition.

The words demon branded themselves into my head. Wasn't I the demon? Wasn't I the one who had caused this? Wasn't it my fau…..

"Nooooo!!!!"

I screamed out in my cocoon, as I watched the next victim appear. It was a child! A child!

Please no! Nooooo!

I thrashed about, wanting to break the cocoon. I wanted to stop this mess now. I wanted to take back what I had done. I didn't want this to happen. Please! I don't care if you're stronger, please stop!

I thrashed with all my might; I sent all the mental messages I could to stop Ella. But it was too late. She had already pounced onto the small child. They looked about 8 years old and were malnourished. The fear on their face, sheer terror in their eyes.

I would never be able to forget the face. Even if I died I wouldn't forget the look in the little girl's eyes as Ella closed in.

"Argh!!!!!"

I screamed out as I was forced to watch and not be able to do anything.

I sucked up my last meal and looked at the newest one approaching. This meal was too small, too lacking in meat! I needed more. Give me more!!!

I crushed up the small meal below me and rushed towards the bigger one.

I had lost all strength in my body. It had already been 40 minutes. She was still going. She wouldn't stop. I couldn't get out of the cocoon. I could only watch. I watched every man, woman and child in her path get torn to shreds, but I could still feel the hunger.

When would it stop?

Please stop.

This was taking too long!

There were so many meals, but I was still hungry. They were gathering around me! Waiting for me to eat them! I was taking too much time!

My teeth weren't eating fast enough.

My frustration was beginning to build!

I need to eat fast!

Faster!!!

I slammed my hands on the ground mangling the meal that was in front of me, as another box appeared.

The meal I was holding started to be sucked of energy. My desire to eat was taking their everything. I didn't have to eat them anymore, the meals everything was being sucked in.

And it tasted so good!!!!

Drool started to leak from my mouth as I gripped on tighter. The taste was different, but just as good! Even better somewhat!

I looked at the meals that were still closing in on me and saw them lining up to be eaten.

My grin grew bigger.

They were so obedient and well mannered!

It wouldn't be good for me to take too much time!

"Hahaha."

I started to laugh; I would be able to eat to my heart's content!

My emotions were disconnected; I couldn't feel myself right now. I could only feel what Ella was doing. Every single detail of what was happening was being engraved onto my mind.

She had developed a new ability a minute ago, and it made it easier for her to "eat" meals. She was running around, slamming meals to the ground, while sucking out all their life. Every single piece of them was being taken and used to evolve. Nothing was left but a dried up husk of a corpse.

It was a combination of Rose's skill that had brought about such a change.

"Demonic kiss, huh"

I could only mutter that, then sit and watch the carnage. The bodies tossed about as if scraps. The necks ripped off to taste the blood inside. Arms ripped off and absorbed before the whole body. I thought I might vomit at the sight, but like I had said. My emotions had gone completely numb. Maybe that wasn't the right word, they had gone dead.

I was dying on the inside.

Ella bounded over and around another corner. My finger twitched. My throat that I thought had gone dry and cracked, tried to scream again.

"nooooo…"

It was only a rasp. Another single tear rolled down my cheek as I saw the person she was rushing towards.

Anthony was standing there with a woman. She had blonde hair cut short, with a nice face and round eyes. I could imagine the bright expression she would usually have, the optimism, which the person would usually have.

But right now, there was only terror filled in both of their eyes, as they were moving slowly towards Ella. They were holding hands. Did Anthony like her? Were they going out? Why didn't he tell me the good news?

Irrelevant questions ran through my head as my eyes shook. The tear continued to roll down my cheek as I watched what happened next.

Ella tossed aside the small child that she had just absorbed and bounded over to the pair. She gripped both of their shoulders and slammed them into each other. The recognition in Anthony eyes as he looked at Ella seemed to bore straight into my soul. It was as if he was looking at me, right then and there.

Their bones cracked and their hands were forced apart. She let the woman flop to the ground as she grabbed Anthony by the neck and then slammed him into the ground. All it took was one second as his skull let out sickening crunch, blood splotching out.

He was dead then and there. Ella pulled him up again and slammed him down. It was a sight I was starting to grow used to, watching Ella in her berserk, mindless state.

She liked to play with her food.

Smashing his head a few times into the ground, she then started to absorb what was left. I could see through her eyes and I could see the tear filled face of the woman that had just watched Anthony die.

Her eyes still had a little light in them when I had seen her, but now they had gone dead. It was like her soul left her body.

She was prepared for what was going to happen to her.

Soon Anthony's body was tossed to the side, nothing but a mummified, mangled corpse and she pounced on the poor woman. She also had a few limbs torn of and consumed before she died.

I finally closed my eyes, even if just for a second at that moment. My emotions surged up again and were once again tormented.

"Anthony…"

My eyes opened again, but I didn't feel like I was in my body anymore.
