A God's Apocalyptic Entertainment 11 Special?

Compared to the other 3 wings I had entered, this one was more packed. Just in the corridor alone I counted 7 regular infected. This was the same number of infected I had faced in my first big fight. But as all of them where regular infected this time, it was a lot harder. Even though I realized this, as I was affected by cold rage, I didn't care.

I continued to rush towards them and brandished my blade. Unlike myself, I was efficient when facing these infected.

As I closed in on them, I would naturally go for a head shot. And surprising even myself, I took them all down fast. Within 2 minutes I had killed them all.

As I was in a rush I didn't stop to check what they may have dropped. I rushed to the nearest room to check what was inside, I had to hurry.

There were no babies in any of the rooms down the first corridor, but there were a whole lot of infected. It was insane, compared to the other area's the infected here were always in groups, and there were about triple the numbers.

It gave me a sense of unease, as I doubled back to rush into another of the 3 corridors, I hoped my luck would improve. I devoured food as I was running, my stamina was running low. I didn't know how long I could last.

The second corridor was also a bust, but the number of infected increased, overall I had killed 30 more infected.

Damn, why was my luck so bad.

Although I hadn't found the babies yet, I had found a lot more blood spread all about. There were many people in the section when the disaster struck.

I continued to the third corridor and almost prayed to find the babies, until I remembered who was god right now.

This corridor was also packed, and I had to kill around 23 infected before I reached the last room.

As soon as I opened the door though, I saw it. This room was different than the last ones I had been through. It had many small cots lined up and was bigger than the others. Although the light was getting darker, it seemed that a small generator, that had some electricity, kept the lights relatively bright in the room.

My face paled at the sight before me. There was blood splashed all over the walls and floor. It was as if a massacre had occurred. Because of the amount of people in the room, it was obvious that the infected hadn't decided to eat it all yet.

The discarded bodies of adults were strewn across the room, with pieces hanging off some of the cots. My legs stopped at the entrance to the room. I didn't feel like I could move them, as I stared at the scene.

I didn't want to look into any of the cots.

My fear wouldn't let me.

Even from the entrance I could see some blood splashed on a majority of the cots. There were no infected in the room, they had cleared it out earlier.

They had no use to come back….

As my rage boiled, my head cooled more and I could finally force myself to step into the room.

I made my way around as I looked into the cots, the lack of sound was too eerie, and the blood was too brutal to look at.

I stopped my feet at one of the cots, as tears started to trickle down and I puked to the side.

There were some things that go too far, and some things that you should never see.

To see a half eaten baby, was the final straw.

I feel to my knees and sobbed, I felt my sanity slipping.

What was the point in all this?

WHAT WAS THE DAMN POINT?

ENTERTAINMENT?!?!

I couldn't move as I thought back to all that had happened so far.

I started to hate myself as I wondered if I could have somehow saved these children. Something that I could do. Anything that I could have done.

When I saw the "neonatal" sign before, I had run off to save them. But thinking logically, it had already been 2 or more hours since this had started.

They would have died in the first few minutes.

These damn monsters!

My rage reached greater heights as I started to become more cold and calculating. I wanted to go mad with rage, I wanted to rage, so badly. I wanted to release this frustration, of my reality.

But because of this damn skill, all it did was make me more clear headed.

The cold feeling continued to spread as I slowly stood up. I stared at the cot with the half eaten baby. I clenched my fists in rage and continued to slowly walk on. I don't know if I was trying to engrave this scene into my head, or what. I just continued to look on. There were more half eaten bodies, and pieces that might have belonged to people.

I lost count of the times I clenched my teeth at the sight. By the time I made it to the end of the room, my heart felt as cold as ice.

Everyone has a bottom line, and I realized, my bottom line was kids, children or babies. To do something like this was too far.

A god, who does this, had to be taken down. I had made an even greater resolve as I walked back towards the door of the room.

All hope I had that other children would be alive in here died, there was no chance. As I made my way out of the room, I sent one last look at the room and started to run towards the last corridor.

I needed to kill these things.

They had gone too far.

My resolve pushed me on, and I seemed to run faster and faster.

I made it to the last corridor and sped through it. All the infected I met, were instantly crushed. I looked in every room and made sure to kill every last single one of them. That was the depth with which my rage had grown.

I made my way towards the last room of the corridor. I knew it was different as I ran towards it. It was the managerial office of the floor and the doors had a sign hanging over it distinguishing it. Easily double the size of the normal doors, it looked like I was about to walk into a huge courtyard.

I thought nothing of it as I rushed forwards. I crashed through the door and looked around. There was only one infected in here, but as I looked at him I froze. I only froze for one second though, the next instant I sprinted with my full force towards it.

It was holding an infant in its hands and was lowering its mouth to eat it. I sprinted with all my might towards it.

Even if the baby was dead, I wouldn't let it destroy the body.

Blood flowed out of its mouth, almost like drool as the baby closed in on its mouth.

My rage hit its peak as I flashed over. I raised my blade and instantly went for a head shot. Suddenly, as I was about to make contact and kill this bastard, it moved to the side avoiding my swing. I was thrown off balance and also shocked at this things movement speed. Before I could recover I felt a sharp pain in my side as I was flung across the room into a wall.

Blood welled up in my mouth and I had to spit it out, as my insides started screaming in pain.

I slowly looked up to see the infected turning its head away from me and biting down on the infant, splashing blood all over its body and the ground.

It seemed to savor the taste and relish it as it let the blood then spill on his body.

At this point I realized, that this room was weird, I hadn't noticed it in my rush, but the room was covered in the black tar like substance I usually saw from the weak infected. It covered most parts of the room in a sort of web like fashion.

The webs culminated in a type of cocoon that lay in front of the infected. The blood spilled down on to the cocoon and it started to absorb the blood, until there was nothing left.

The infected also looked different from the others, as the skin color was paler, and his demeanor seemed more dignified.

I realized I had messed up, something was wrong with this room.

I quickly used analyze on the infected before he could make his way over.
