Cheng Shi swayed as she woke up. When she saw Ling Xiao, she involuntarily shrieked, "Husband, he wants to kill me!"

"It's all a misunderstanding." Cheng Qiantai faked a cough. "Xiao'er and Yuanhuan were saving you."

Ling Xiao deeply bowed toward Cheng Shi. "Mistress, my deepest apologies for startling you. Disciple definitely doesn't mean you any harm." However, a different sentence drifted in his mind. If Dong Xuan couldn't block my attack just now and my broom killed Mistress, Master wouldn't be so fearful!
