Although due to her specialty, Lumiaire was usually stationed on the warship rather than sent into combat. However, that didn't mean she was left idle. On the contrary, she was very busy.
One of her tasks was to search for and investigate all classified information on the networks of the Star Union and Shenbao Council. If she found any traces resembling a Cult invasion, she was to report them to Duanmu immediately.
Lumiaire wasn't clear about the nature of these threats, and Duanmu didn't explain in detail, but he did give her a list. If she noticed anything similar to the items on that list, she was to report it right away.
Now that Lumiaire was seeking him out… Could those guys already be causing trouble?

If one of them started propagating the words of the Thunder Warhammer, Duanmu would have already dashed over with it.

The next piece of intel was about a strange disease appearing on some colonial planets. This was common enough, as each planet's ecosystem differed. Thus, the bacteria were distinct, and many colonies were afflicted with planet-specific ailments. This was essentially a stellar version of not acclimating to a different environment. Nevertheless, as of now, all remained manageable and nothing was out of the ordinary.
However, the very last bit of information did pique Duanmu Huai's interest.
In simple terms, it was a research report stating that the Shenbao Council's scientists measured an unidentified particle or something similar, only to find that it did not conform to scientific laws. The current debate is whether this discrepancy was due to an instrument error or a mistake in their theory.
