Chapter 553: Chapter 409: Ambush!_1 Chapter 553: Chapter 409: Ambush!_1 “Damn it!”
When Duanmu Huai returned to the ship, he was covered in dust, looking extremely displeased.
They self-destruct if they can't win? Can they really play such dirty tricks?
Damn it… where the hell are these bastards from, if I catch them …
“Report, sir, an unidentified ship is approaching Planet LV426~~”
Just as Duanmu Huai was angrily swearing, Mia's languid voice came again. Hearing Mia's voice, Duanmu Huai frowned and then looked at the screen. Sure enough, in the screen, an invisible ship was quietly passing by, flying towards Planet LV426.
“Lock onto it! See where it's going!”
“Understood…”
Under the gaze of Duanmu Huai, the ship slowly came above the colonial base that had been bombed into ruins. Then, it revealed its original shape, slowly descended, and Duanmu Huai saw a few guys came down, dressed in armor, wearing helmets, and their hair tied up like dreadlocks…
Expectedly! These bastards are outsiders!
“Lock onto the target, attack!”
Seeing this, Duanmu Huai sternly issued the command.
“Understood~~~”
When the Tribunal's ship came above Planet LV426, the other ship also noticed their arrival. They quickly saw the ship hastily ascend and tried to go invisible again. However, Duanmu Huai, who had already locked onto the target, certainly wouldn't let it escape just like that.
“Fire!”
“Boom boom boom!!!”
Accompanied by Duanmu Huai's order, beams and shells shot out, directly hitting the alien warship. The unprepared alien warship was obviously no match for the Tribunal, a single round of Light Spear bombardment completely destroyed the warship's shield. The subsequent Macro Canon Shells easily tore through their armor, severely damaging the ship.
“The enemy ship's damage has exceeded forty percent…….—
However, just as Mia was about to continue firing, Duanmu Huai raised his hand, signalling her to wait. While at the same time, the ship suddenly accelerated, dragging its battered body, and disappeared into the depths of space in a blink of an eye.
“Master??”
The Artificial Angel cocked her head in confusion, looking at Duanmu Huai curiously.
“We're playing the long game to catch the bigger fish, killing them here would be too easy for these aliens.”
Duanmu Huai stared at the signal on the screen, speaking coldly. He did indeed consider jumping onto the hostile ship and locating the home of this alien civilization by hacking their computer. But then Duanmu Huai gave up this idea for a simple reason – he was disgusted by these bastards who would self-destruct if they couldn't win.
What if he stormed the command room and they self-destructed when they couldn't hold him back? Wouldn't Duanmu Huai fall into the same trap twice?
He's not that stupid!
“Send out a reconnaissance ship to track them down and find their lair. As for this place …”
Duanmu Huai shifted his gaze, looking at Planet LV426 in front of him and frowned.
“It has been tainted by the aliens and is worthless now. I, in the name of the Great Judge, issue the extinction order, fire the Whirlwind Torpedoes and completely purify it.”
There were no survivors left anyway, so might as well destroy everything to prevent any resurgence.
“Very well, my lord~~~”
Soon, with the launch of a whirlwind torpedo towards Planet LV426, a radiant and divine light burst forth, purifying the planet contaminated by aliens and monsters.
Meanwhile, on the edge of the Milky Way, a wrecked warship was accelerating in its escape.
“Beep… beep… beep…”
The command room was filled with shrill alarms and flashing red warning lights. However, the alien warriors within remained unperturbed, sitting calmly at their control panels, carrying out their tasks. Some warriors moved around, reporting in hushed voices. Despite their dire circumstances, there was no hint of panic in their actions, as if the near-fragmented warship was of no concern to them.
After an unknown duration, the alarm gradually subsided. An alien warrior walked to the commander seated in the center, bowing his head.
“… Therefore, we do not know who attacked us.”
The commander's voice was filled with a mixture of deep anger. Their race was the most warlike in the Milky Way, always laying in ambush for others but never being ambushed themselves. This was a great humiliation for their race!
“Could it be the Prometheans?”
The commander's right-hand man suggested. Hearing this, the commander fell into silence.
For Duanmu Huai, he didn't care about the history of these races. If they were not human, they were alien. They could either be enslaved or be purified. So, he did not care about their past, present, or future.
However, these alien warriors had come to Planet LV426 for a reason.
They came from a civilization named Iron Blood. This race was highly belligerent, deriving pleasure from battles and wars, and elevating themselves through the conflicts with other races. The Iron Blood race had long mastered the technology of traveling through space, traversing across various planets.
However, to the Iron Blood's disappointment, despite their interstellar travels, they didn't find any force that was on par with them. A primitive civilization existed on most planets, but most of them hadn't even started exploring space. Therefore, to the Iron Blood race, these civilizations were not worthy of mention.
Until one time, on a planet, the Iron Blood found a terrifying species – they had tremendous reproductive capacity, appalling lethality, and the ability to attack stealthily from the darkness.
The Iron Blood called them “Alien”.
However, matters didn't end there. On that planet, the Iron Blood not only discovered these terrifying biological weapons named Aliens but also found murals and records that revealed this species was created by a race called “Prometheus”.
Upon receiving this news, the Iron Blood race was extraordinarily excited. They were eager to find this “Prometheus” race to see who was stronger.
Not long ago, an Iron Blood reconnaissance ship discovered a crashed Prometheus spaceship on Planet LV426. Intrigued, the Iron Blood dispatched a team to investigate and accidentally encountered a human colonizing fleet sent by Dardanielle on this planet.
Initially, the Iron Blood race was filled with curiosity and confusion. Their simplest investigation method was to launch an attack and assess the opponent's strength.
Then, a warship from Dardanielle was thus tragically destroyed by the Iron Blood's attack.
After destroying Dardanielle's ship, the Iron Blood discovered that this was not the Prometheus race they were looking for, but another race exploring space. Hence, they decided to retrieve the Prometheus relics taken by these humans first and then study more about this civilization.
So, the Iron Blood warriors embarked on a mission to the Colonial Base, where they encountered the Aliens unintentionally released by the colonists and a battle ensued.
Then, Duanmu Huai arrived at the scene.
The Iron Blood didn't think the warships that later attacked them had anything to do with the previous human ship. So, their first reaction was that the mysterious Prometheus race had finally shown itself!
“We must return to our homeworld immediately and report this matter to the elders.”
The commander quickly made a decision, and the wrecked warship accelerated away, disappearing into the depths of the dark universe.
What the Iron Blood failed to notice was that not far behind them, within a nebula, a recon ship from the Tribunal was silently observing them…
