Chapter 1224: Chapter 829 Twisted_3 Chapter 1224: Chapter 829 Twisted_3 “Ah, I've encountered that too!”
Hearing Yugong Lian's comment, Sakamoto Ryuji slapped his thigh emphatically.
“I once went to eat ramen, and when the owner brought it out, I looked at it and inside was all viscera and blood clots! It was so disgusting that I threw up on the spot, and the owner kicked me out–but when I looked back, the bowl of noodles was normal. I thought I was the one who was abnormal.”
Upon hearing this, Yugong Lian fell silent for a moment.
“All this started happening after we came back from that world.”
“Are you saying there's something wrong with that world?”
Sakamoto Ryuji's expression became grave at that moment.
“I'm not sure, we should ask Yuki. Since all of us have encountered problems, he must have too…”
While speaking, Yugong Lian dialed Yoshikawa Yuki's phone, but–no one answered.
“What's going on?”
Hearing the “beep beep” sound from the other end of the phone, both felt an unease rising in their hearts, and soon, Yugong Lian made a decision.
“Let's go find him in person.”
After Banmu's incident, Yoshikawa Yuki had moved into a dormitory at the school, but when they arrived at the dormitory, they were told that he had moved out to an apartment outside.
But when they got to the apartment…
“This guy would live here?”
Looking at the dilapidated apartment in front of them, both Yugong Lian and Sakamoto Ryuji were taken aback. Just then, they saw a tenant leaving, and Yugong Lian quickly approached to inquire.
“Excuse me, does someone named Yoshikawa Yuki live here?”
“Who are you…”
“We're his friends.”
“I see.”
The tenant scrutinized Yugong Lian and Sakamoto Ryuji and then nodded.
“You're talking about the handsome young guy, right? Yeah, he indeed lives here, but he hardly ever goes out. By the way, could you remind him too, it smells terrible in his place. We can smell it all the way upstairs and downstairs…”
“???”
Hearing the tenant's complaint, they exchanged a puzzled look. Nevertheless, they thanked the tenant and entered the building.
“Is that guy a slob or what?”
As they climbed the stairs, Sakamoto Ryuji asked, puzzled, while Yugong Lian shook his head.
“I don't know. I remember he wasn't…”
As they spoke, they arrived at Yoshikawa Yuki's apartment door, and then Yugong Lian reached out and knocked.
“Yuki, are you there?”
No response.
“Speaking of which, it really stinks here…”
Sakamoto Ryuji covered his nose and waved his hand, confirming his own words. Just standing outside the door, they could smell a strong odor coming from inside. Yugong Lian frowned, then reached out and placed his hand on the doorknob–and the door opened as if by its own accord.
“He didn't even lock the door?”
“Let's go in and check it out.”
They exchanged glances and then entered the room.
The whole apartment was dim with all the windows pasted over with newspapers. Only a faint light seeped through the cracks, illuminating the shadowy apartment. Yugong Lian tried to turn on the light, but it didn't work.
“Hey, Yuki!”
Sakamoto Ryuji shouted, but no answer came back–only dead silence.
Could he not be at home?
They cautiously walked further into the room. On the walls around them were canvases. This was not unusual, but what was peculiar were the paintings on these canvases. They saw bizarre and murky colors mixed together on the pristine canvases, forming patterns that were utterly incomprehensible. Just walking among them felt like the world around had gone mad, and merely looking at these paintings, it seemed as if everything was on the verge of collapse…
“Squeak.”
At the bedroom door, Yugong Lian pushed it open, and then, they saw Yoshikawa Yuki sitting in front of the canvas with his back to them, holding a brush.
“Phew, you're home. Why didn't you answer the phone?”
Seeing the back of Yoshikawa Yuki, Sakamoto Ryuji breathed a sigh of relief, but Yuki remained silent, his back to them.
“Hey? Yuki, are you okay? Listen, Lian and I have encountered some weird stuff since that day… How are you doing?”
“I'm fine.”
Yoshikawa Yuki finally spoke.
“In fact, I've never been better because I've finally understood my mission.”
“… Mission?”
“Yes.”
Yoshikawa Yuki nodded.
“This world is doomed to destruction; the end will come, and we too will perish. Yes, that's all there is. There's no point in struggling, for this is the truth of this world! Destruction, destruction, destruction, hahaha! Yes, everything will be destroyed, perish! Nothing will remain!”
Looking at Yoshikawa Yuki's crazed laughter, Yugong Lian and Sakamoto Ryuji felt a chill, and Sakamoto Ryuji stepped forward, grabbing Yuki's shoulder to turn him around.
“Hey, what's wrong with you? Listen to me… Ahhh!!!”
However, before Sakamoto Ryuji could finish, his words turned into a scream, and Yugong Lian, too, stared in astonishment, unable to believe what was before their eyes–there, in front of them, Yoshikawa Yuki's eyes were completely gone. Only the bloody, empty sockets stared back at them.
“It's no use! Everything will be destroyed, and we will perish too!”
After saying that, Yoshikawa Yuki suddenly reached out, grabbed the paintbrush, and plunged it brutally into his own sockets!
“Pffch!”
The two hard brushes pierced into Yoshikawa Yuki's eye sockets, and then he slumped his hands down, collapsed on the chair, and became a corpse.
Seeing this scene, both were stunned.
“What on earth is going on?!”
