Chapter 1026: Chapter 705: Master of the 500 Worlds Chapter 1026: Chapter 705: Master of the 500 Worlds There was once a poll among the players about if you were to cross into the Imperial, under whose command you would prefer to work.
The result was that Robert Kiliman, the master of the Five Hundred Worlds, was at the top of the list, without any close second.
The reasons are as follows.
First, Kiliman was one of the rare Genetic Prototypes who grew up happy and content without the childhood shadows and defects like the other Genetic Prototypes.
Second, Kiliman's personality is quite normal. Although sometimes he overthinks things, on the whole, he can be considered a kind and capable ruler with a good sense of morality, unlike other Genetic Prototypes who, to some extent, are products inheriting The Emperor's pathological defects.
For example, Mortarion grew up on a Toxic Planet, so most warriors in his legion followed Mortarion's example of deliberately making themselves stink and even drinking toxic waste water to prove their loyalty to Mortarion.
Or how Angellon, who had a machine installed in his brain as a child causing mental collapse and constant pain, led his legion to follow in his footsteps, and they all willingly installed a similar device to show their devotion.
No sane person would want to join such legions–crazy!
Truth be told, out of the eighteen legions, Kiliman's Limit Warrior Legion seems the most normal to ordinary people; the rest are all abnormal.
The Dark Angels are enigmatic, never speaking clearly without sounding mysterious or muddled, which gives anyone listening a headache.
The Emperor's Sons spend their days dressing up flamboyantly like peacocks and are full of severe narcissism.
The Steel Warriors are like corporate slaves, doing the hardest work, working overtime, taking the hardest beatings, earning the least money, and still looked down upon by their superiors.
The White Scars, if they're not drag racing, they are on their way to do so, or still on the road racing.
The Space Wolves are like crazy Huskies, biting anyone The Emperor commands.
The Imperial Fists are rigid and stiff, with skulls harder than the marble beneath the Terra Imperial Palace.
The Midnight Lords are pretty much a dark version of Batman, killing and looting in the name of justice and order.
The Holy Blood Angels are usually quite normal, but when Black Rage strikes, they no longer recognize anyone.
The Steel Hands venerate the saying “Flesh is Weak” and aim for mechanical ascension, almost eager to replace all their body parts with Mechanical Religion components.
The World Eaters stuff all sorts of nonsense into their brains to experience pain akin to their Primarch, expressing their loyalty.
The Death Guard, their entire being stinks, making one wonder if they have ever bathed after donning their armor.
The Thousand Sons are inherently decent, except they're saddled with a Primarch whose life is a string of failures, which puts them beyond redemption.
The tragedy of the Luna Wolves is similar to the Thousand Sons, following the wrong leader; no matter how hard the subordinates try, it's futile, as the pitiful Luo Ken demonstrates.
The Whisperers are a bunch of deranged zealots, the kind who need to be executed by the Tribunal a hundred times over.
The Fire Lizards are hardworking and kind-hearted, with their only flaw being their… excessively dark skin.
The tragedy of the Shadow Crow Guard lies in their leader who writes such extremely melancholy poetry that it affects the entire legion with EMO vibes.
The Alpha Legion… nobody really knows what they're about, just that everyone is Alpha.
In comparison, Kiliman's Thirteenth Legion indeed stands out as the exception–classified among a group of psychos, they raise the profound question of whether a normal person among crazies is still normal.
Therefore, Kiliman isn't very popular among the Primarchs, which is actually understandable. Most of them either suffer from childhood traumas, have physical disabilities, or lack recognition. But Kiliman's life, growing up as a nobleman's foster child, was happy, and he wasn't much affected even when his foster father was assassinated. Later, when The Emperor came, he simply followed The Emperor, unlike others who were taken away by force or after being beaten.
To put it simply, it's like a delinquent class suddenly getting a top student who excels in character and study, and everyone else just can't stand the sight of him.
But for ordinary people, a Genetic Prototype like Kiliman is truly exemplary–a paragon for his love for the people, kindness of heart, and capability. So much so that the players mock–had The Emperor been half as good as Kiliman, the Imperial would not have turned into this mess.
This shows just how much The Emperor truly fails to understand people's hearts.
Of course, Kiliman is not without weaknesses–that is, as a top student, his combat abilities are somewhat weaker compared to the other Primarchs who have a rough background. He's basically getting thrashed in single combat and ended up needing to be saved by a stasis pod…
While he may not be great in a one-on-one fight, the collective combat capability of the Limit Warriors is indeed strong. There's a saying that goes, “Learn my operations and what's left is just to ace it” ———- Kiliman's Limit Legion exemplifies this adage.
The Limit Legion is the Five Hundred Worlds' troop surge incarnate: overwhelm with numbers, then charge. In the face of absolute numbers, everything else is inconsequential, and the Limit Warrior Legion also happens to have the largest population among the eighteen legions.
However, Grandpa Lan's dueling skill is truly abysmal (laughs), usually amounting to getting beat up by whoever he faces one-on-one.
