A Chaotic World 328 Grand Wedding at the Divine Storm Palace

By the time the first rays of the sun descended upon the land, Divine Storm City had already undergone a complete transformation.

The streets were covered by a carpet of flowers, shrouding the city in a floral aroma.

Beautiful flags and banners fluttered in the wind, giving off a majestic aura that was befitting of the grand city.

Thousands of musicians were spread out across the city, including forming a long line from the city gate all the way to the Divine Storm Palace. They played their instruments in absolute harmony, spreading to all corners of the city an upbeat song that symbolised fortune and goodwill.

The entire Divine Storm City was in a festive mood.

Immersing himself in the songs, even Lu Tianzi could not help but feel his heart beating faster in anticipation. Unfortunately though, he was unable to witness the event with his own two eyes.

Not yet, at least.

They were supposed to receive their promised rewards during the wedding banquet, and this had already been added into the programme list as one of the items.

In order to make sure that the events of the day flowed smoothly, the members of the Divine Storm Sect had prepared a waiting room just for them.

They had been sternly instructed to remain in their designated waiting room. When it was their turn, the servants would be there to lead them to the wedding venue.

Not wanting to cause any trouble for the hosts of the day, Lu Tianzi and Nanlan Qianxue obediently adhered to the given instructions, waiting patiently in the room for the servants to fetch them.

The wedding procession started early in the morning, but it was not until late afternoon that the servants finally arrived.

Lu Tianzi and Nanlan Qianxue had been staying at the Divine Storm Palace over the past two days, but they had been restricted to the area between the sect grounds entrance to Mengxi's residence.

And now for the very first time, they were allowed into the main hall of the Divine Storm Palace.

"Next will be the handing of rewards to the ones who quelled the unrest in Bog Town!" the host of the event announced with vigour.

As he made that announcement, the servants pushed open the door to allow Lu Tianzi and Nanlan Qianxue into the main hall.

When Lu Tianzi saw the interior of the main hall, he could not help but nod in admiration.

Congratulatory red banners hung down from the hundred metres high ceiling, and delicacies were spread out finely on the hundreds of tables within the hall. On top of that, melodious background music played ceaselessly, ensuring that there was never a dull moment.

As expected of the Divine Storm Sect, the setting for this grand wedding banquet was beyond the likes of any that Lu Tianzi had ever attended.

But what Lu Tianzi was most impressed with was neither the decoration nor the food.

It was the people within the main hall.

There were thousands of people seated within the hall, and at least half of them were Origin Core realm experts.

In fact, there were even a few from whom Lu Tianzi was able to sense a familiar feeling – a feeling that he had gotten from the Scarlet Moon Overlord as well.

Lu Tianzi could see Bayuen from the day before seated comfortably at the table as well.

Lu Tianzi was not sure if Bayuen really was the guest of honour, but he was certainly being treated as an important guest at least.

Just like all wedding banquets, the atmosphere was festive and rowdy.

Almost everyone was caught up in conversations of their own, especially since this was such a rare occasion to meet the upper echelons of the Divine Storm Sect.

Not just that, but other major influences had sent their representatives as well, making it the perfect opportunity to network.

For that reason, few people paid any attention to Lu Tianzi and Nanlan Qianxue even as they cut through the hundreds of tables to walk up to the front of the main hall.

Hearing the promised rewards, many attendees of the wedding banquet could not help but look over in surprise.

That's something that even they would be interested in!

While they pretended to be indifferent about the matter, all of them were secretly hoping that they would be selected.

After all, even though being chosen meant they would have more work to do, it would also serve as an indicator that they were valued above their peers.

However, what came next caught everyone by surprise.

"We are not too familiar with the elders. If it is not too much trouble, is it possible for senior to pick someone suitable for us?" Lu Tianzi clasped his fists towards the host.

While the host looked to be relatively young as well, he was already at the Fourth Cycle Origin Core realm.

Due to the difference in their cultivation levels, it was not too much for Lu Tianzi to refer to him as senior.

"You are not familiar with the elders?" the host widened his eyes in disbelief. "Didn't you at least ask around before this?"

For the first time that afternoon, every single person in the main hall turned their attention towards the host of the ceremony.

"This is the Seven Lights Prism, a mystical artifact that contains extremely concentrated Spiritual Essence. There are many uses to it, including its ability to draw in beasts, making it the perfect hunting tool. It is also able to nourish plants and herbs, making it the perfect decoration in any herbal garden. There are other functions to it as well, but its most impressive property would have to be its aesthetics that are nowhere below anything else on the market. And now, the Divine Storm Sect bestows it to you," the host of the ceremony introduced the item.

All eyes were on the Seven Lights Prism as it floated over towards Lu Tianzi, who respectfully received it with both hands.

"Thank you, senior!" Lu Tianzi bowed in gratitude.

By now, a slight commotion had started among the attendees of the banquet.

Specifically, it was a commotion among the various members of the Divine Storm Sect.

"To use the Seven Lights Prism as a reward for such a matter, isn't that overdoing things a little?"

"That is a treasure that even we are unable to lay our hands on! How can they just give it to some random people for no particular reason? Are the elders trying to take this opportunity to show off the sect's wealth to the guests today?"

"Even so, there should be a limit to it! Such things should be left for us sect members first!"

But just as the volume level of the commotion was starting to rise, a resolute voice silenced everyone else.

"The Seven Lights Prism is a beautiful object, just like the two of you are when you stand beside each other," a young man seated at the main table stood up and asked with a smile. "Are the two of you a couple?"

Lu Tianzi looked over in surprise.

There were only two young men seated at the main table, and one of them was Bayuen from the White Tiger Immortal Sect.

Right now, the one who had spoken to him was the other young man, who could only be the star of the day, First Disciple Dongquan Juewei.

Just like Bayuen, he had already reached the Ninth Cycle Origin Core realm!

"Junior thanks senior for the compliment, but we are not a couple," Lu Tianzi quickly put away the Seven Lights Prism and clasped his fists respectfully towards the young man.

If Lady Qianxue is willing to give me a chance, I'd like to invite you to my residence after the banquet, where we can slowly get to know each other better!"

Lu Tianzi narrowed his eyes and looked over.

As expected, it was Chengban whom they had encountered back at the Redstone Restaurant.

As a core disciple of the Divine Storm Sect, it was not surprising that he was attending the wedding as well.
