Back then, upon realising that Lu Tianzi did not have a place to stay, he had offered Lu Tianzi a room in his house without a second thought.

Back then, when Lu Tianzi had offended Gong Shengjie, the son of an influential District Head, he had personally brought Lu Tianzi to Elder Huo in an attempt to help resolve the issue.

This personality of his was the reason why Uncle Ye was so well-liked among others, having friends from everywhere within the Workers District.

Thus, it was no surprise that he would be one of those rare ones who chose to stay behind in a bid to buy time for the others who were still trying to escape.

Of course, there was still a limit as to what a non martial artist like Uncle Ye could do, and this limit was not high by any measure.

Still, seeing Uncle Ye had reminded Lu Tianzi to make a short detour to Uncle Ye's house, where he reclaimed the few items that he had left behind.

Formation flags, though they were definitely far inferior as compared to the ones he currently possessed.

But what Lu Tianzi was more concerned about was the two manuals that had been passed down by his father.

One of them was the Undulated Currents Breathing Technique, while the other was the Thunderbolt Torrential Fists.

Lu Tianzi had read through the books countless times, and was already capable of remembering their contents word for word. Still, having been passed down by his father, they had some form of sentimental value.

"I'm sorry, I got a little too caught up with the action," Lu Tianzi answered with a sheepish smile.

"Don't worry about it," Elder Diansheng waved casually. "More importantly, stay safe. I will be busy from now on, so you have to take care not to overdo it, understood?"

"Yes, Elder Diansheng!" Lu Tianzi nodded.

He already knew that Elder Diansheng had set his eyes on the high ranked beast core. This whole farce with the signal was just Lu Tianzi doing Elder Diansheng a favour, giving him a reason to leave General Nanbai Zhaoyu's side to search for the human leader by himself.

From now on, Elder Diansheng would be busy combing the city, so he naturally would not have much time to take care of Lu Tianzi!
