The sergeant and the knights in charge seemed to have no objection to the decision. They made a quick move. But Feria was different.

“I don't care about the one sleeping. I'm going to sleep on the dry grass. I'll be early tomorrow right?”

Feria went towards the farmhouse yawning to death. It was Vins and the knights in charge that was in a hurry. He begged many times to her to return to the residence but Feria didn't comply.

“The king thinks that I'm a maid. He doesn't know I'm the consort. That's all. That's all I could do.”

Feria lowered her eyes a little. Vins now realized his first mistake and regretted it. He should've introduced Feria to Macron as soon as she entered the palace

“Ferisama”

“It's fine Vins. I'm fine. I'm not a person that likes to dress up. If the 22 widows who were late in marriage had seen the king once in their lives, you praise them and let them go to bed. I'd like to serve the king some breakfast when it's ready tomorrow. When I found out that I'm going to do my duty until I'm tired, I'll do my best. It's the last time after all…”

It must be Feria's pride that prevented Vins from saying. The words fell as Feria lose her grip to Vins.

Feria and the knights prayed to the sun as usual. Then baked some bread and made some root vegetable soup. The simple breakfast took consideration for the fatigue of the king's body.

The closed-door opened with a bang. Feria laughed when she saw the king's face somewhat clear.

“Come here.”

On the tea table, which she usually eats with the knights. She placed some curly bread and rootstock soup. Making the king sit there in silence.

“… Your majesty?”

“… eat your fill, your majesty.”

Feria felt like she was a waiter. The King's eyes were looking at the lush green fields. Feria smiled as she tilted her head a little. She's sure he was aware of the funny garden. But said nothing, his eyes followed the greens. A good view of his tired eyes.

“It's a herbal tea for headache.”

Feria poured some in the cup of the king. The steam moistened the king's tired skin.

“It smells good.”

“Thank you very much.”

For the first time, Feria's eyes and Macron's eyes met. They smiled at each other.

The sight shook Vins. This was because he had never seen Macron smiled so gently. He was even more surprised at the following words.

“My name is Macron, Miss Feria. Thank you for your concern.”

Macron noticed. That momentary smile told her everything.

Feria's eyes went wide. Her cheeks gradually dyed in pinkish red.

Thus, Feria and Macron met for the first time.
